CINCINNATI, Ohio (CNN) -- A Saturday celebration of African-American families and youth was tainted by a violent outburst. A large crowd of teens leaving a concert organized by the annual Midwest Regional Black Family Reunion Celebration became disorderly, tipping over garbage cans, tables, and chairs at the event on the city's south side, according to Lt. Kurt Byrd, a spokesman for the city's police department. ME: Did Reparations folks incide a riot and violate 18 USC Sec. 2101 (at http://uscode.house.gov/usc.htm )?

They've got a pretty substantial burden of proof to meet if they want to get as far as the Holocaust victims did. Then again so does the potential lawsuit against the MillionsForReparations.com folks for inciting at least one riot Saturday. It would seem that the latter case stands a FAR better chance though, wouldn't you think?

I was in Mo Town. Believe it or not the 67 riot was not nearly as anti-white as any of the ones in LA. Hm. I remember July, '67, with a 7 PM curfew on state travel. (I was in Midland at the time; the police effectively sealed off the town.)

You forgot to mention this quote by one of the members of the New Black Panther Party
"We are here today to pin the tail on the HONKEY"
To: Eala
I was in the town and in some areas it was life and death and in others it was a great looting party (multi-racial).

Here's a proposal for the mob (hint we live in a republic not a democracy, no matter how many people gather to support the issue, it doesn't suddenly "make it right").
We'll just give back everyone their money. All social security funds, all government reserves, and the government assets will be sold off. It may not equal everything we paid in but the government will go out of business and return "your" funds.
Now fend for yourself and don't complain about "the government" no more... < /sarcasm >

I'm sure that absolutely NONE of this had any impact on what transpired in Cincinnati soon thereafter??? Teens generally don't watch CSPAN.

Better not riot on me - I'll cap your butt!

>>>Teens generally don't watch CSPAN.<<<
While we don't know in this case, it's not clear that they had to have actually seen the footage of what transpired in D.C. to be influenced by what was said.

I'm betting the teens didn't watch the Washington coverage. Unfortunately the actions in Cincy are SOP for black youth all over the country.
I wish some of you would come out and see what goes on at predominantly black city functions. We have several black bars in our city that stay open past bar closing time. They can do so if they don't serve alcohol. They stay open until 3 30 or 4 in the morning. It's a given that we will have several large fights at each one, EVERY NIGHT. Guys have pulled up, myself included, and there are hundreds of people in the middle of the road fighting.
I've pulled up, and other guys have pulled up and people are shooting at each other.
Even the youth. We had a place called "Mr. and Mrs.'s J's" that had events for youth. As soon as the place closed the whole crowd would walk back to their houses destroying property and fighting all the way. Throwing bottles and such at the police cars. I once had a cinder block bounce off my trunk.
The media by and large doesn't report it. Just like the Cleveland local news skimmed so fast over a murder in Cleveland the other day. Some white guy got pulled out of his car on the east side of Cleveland and was beaten to death by 3 or 4 black males. You'd think the story was akin to touching a leper they skipped over it so fast.
This stuff was happening as long as I can remember, and the older guys who have retired would tell the same stories. And it's still going on.

Didn't you hear that Barron said it was only "black hyperbole"?

When did that CLeveland story happen? Maybe it's worth a thread, based on how it got zero coverage.

Happened 2 or 3 days ago tops. They went over it real quick, no interviews, nothing. The channel I watched showed a picture of the intersection and that was it. Didn't see anything in the local paper, I don't know if the Cleveland Plain Dealer had anything, but I could check on line.

I went to theplaindealer.com and ran back through the stories for the last 2 weeks and didn't see anything about it.
