She's a successful politicial columnist, a rock-ribbed conservative Republican, the daughter of Philippino immigrants, and passionately opposed to the invasion of Illegal Aliens into our nation.
Michelle Malkin would be a blockbuster selection for President Bush as the new INS Chief, in the wake of the retirement announcement of current Chief James Ziglar.
Let the Democrats try and demagogue her.

It was a quip! That's what I thought about your nomination. LOL! Nothing personal Saber, but I think you need someone with more experience for that job.
To: Don Carlos
Couldn't agree with you more on J.C. Our district is 90% white! He is such a total class act! I agree with you that we haven't heard the last of him and for that I am very grateful!

Names?
No one ever has experience for this job... just a commmitment to the status quo.
To: Don Carlos
I do that all the time! Sabertooth had bumped when someone asked about J.C. -- could go on about him all night BTW!
She certainly has my support! I would love to see someone go in and shake things up!

How would the Democrats effectively oppose her? If Malkin is nominated, she passes.
To: Sabertooth
Hey Saber!
She is a great conservative and brilliant writer. He views on immigration as well as other issues would make her a fabulous addition to the Bush Admin. I do think, however, that the biggest strike against her is experience. President Bush has made it clear that he looks for excellent experience in all people that he hires. Experience is something that Michelle will need- and it would for sure be the one drum the Dems would beat against her. Who knows though. Bush could throw a major curve ball and nominate her!
But this is one political observer I'd like to see throw her hat into politics. She could do very well. And is an ex-freeper to boot!

Michelle Malkin would be such an honest tigress at that job!
The perfect qualifications.

Let's see...The chances of Bush appointing the woman who's been nothing but critical of the immigration policies of his administration is...um...er..ah...eh...well...zero.

What was Ziglar's experience?
Bush could throw a major curve ball and nominate her!
Just getting her on the radar is a coup. We need to get Michelle Malkin on the list of candidates.
There is no downside.
To: Sabertooth
I was unfamiliar with her writing until now. Thanks for the introduction!.
Despite coming from a triple-protected demographic (non-white, female & daughter of immigrants) I'm sure the socialists wouldn't hesitate to serve up Clarence Thomas style "hi-tech lynching" if she's as good as you think. The question is whether Jorge Bush would be willing to back her up...

Names? LOL, at the end is the President who would decide this regardless of our nominations.

I agree that's what we need. Not hate and absolute dislike.
To: Victoria Delsoul
Big difference. Yes Michelle Malkin is just 32. When Condi Rice was 32 was anyone suggesting she shouldn't be made Assistant to the Joint Chiefs of Staff becsuse she was just an academic who had written a couple of books?
To: Sabertooth
Ziglar was a joke to begin with.

That is one hearing I wouldn't miss! I would love to see the liberals stammering around. I forgot -- I posted Sensenbrenner's email address but her nomination would go to the RAT Senate not the House! He could still support her since Judiciary does oversee INS!
Just think we would have Leahy in charge of the committee trying to figure out a way not to approve her. Another reason to Take Back the Senate -- dump Leahy. Even he would have to let this nomination sail through or at least I think he would!

Read her bio more carefully, boy!

Bump (for class act minority Republicans!)

You may be right, but another nominee like Ziglar would be very illuminating, wouldn't it?
Many Bush defenders have blamed the lackluster performance of the INS on the current Chief.
Whomever Bush nominates, it will be indicative of the President's true sentiments regarding Illegal Aliens. This is an opportunity for him to shut his critics up.

Ziglar was a joke to begin with.
I was gonna say "Trent Lott's boyhood chum," but it's the same thing.
Any other ideas besides Malkin?
To: Victoria Delsoul
That was my initial understanding as well ;-)Maybe he likes Asian wimmin??
