Wait. It's interesting to know what you saw, and the Scripture you quote is a fascinating.

Howvever, you still come up short in the Scripture department to back up your statement that Christ cursed the stones in a particular city, turning them black.

Again, it sounds like an oral tradition -- very possibly apocryphal.

Now that is an absurdity that I really have to disagree with.Eastern states and most areas of private ownership are off limits tothe general public. We do have the ability to enjoy nature and outdoor activities on federal lands. However the enviro wackos are trying to steal our basic right to access and enjoy our lands through wilderness lockups. It is not about anything but removing humans from the land totally except for special urban areas, prison management for population control.

I don't think the government should 'own' 1/3 of this country. This is supposed to be a very limited government, with rights belonging to the people. Instead, we have a very limited populace with rights belonging to the government.

I remember seeing the very start of the Campbell Fire, which burned 131,000 acres in Tehama County in 1990. PG&E had let Digger pine trees overgrow onto high tension wires, and a baking hot (112 degrees) wind caused the branches of one pine to contact the wires repeatedly. I saw smoke rising from those pines into the Cohasset ridgeline, and called the fire in. I was told they saw it but were "busy" with a small brushfire 100 miles south. Well, ONE LOUSY PASS with a tanker aircraft - based at the Chico Airport, for crying out loud! - would have done the trick. But no.

They let it burn for several HOURS in gusting winds, ignoring the frantic calls from ridge residents and cabin owners. All the while roads were blocked. No one was allowed up there. At last that evening the Forest Service (misnomer) decided to fight the fire.

Now a water tanker's load was like a teaspoonful into a bonfire. Day after day the fight went on. THREE WEEKS it took to contain and put out the fire.

I will always wonder if the FS and company were just guaranteeing employment for themselves by allowing the fire to grow so big as to require so much manpower...

BTW, PG&E got the bill for this one. They were pulled into court by a rep for the burned-out families and a seven-figure settlement was reached.

Would have been a good idea to sue the Forest Service too though, IMHO.

Yea, I had some friends who lost their entire ranches in that fire, and the property is worthless to this day; miles and miles of it.
