SOme notes: Wasserman, an MD, appears to be stating that 'the pill' or prophylactics prevent AIDS. That would be malpractice in the real world.

The paper does not say so, but this study was paid for by Planned Parenthood.

As in other States, having relations with an individual under the age of 18 is a statutory criminal act. We note that PP does NOT report criminal acts.

Last, sad note: the quoted girl is a student at a Milwaukee "Catholic" high school. 26 years of Rembert Weakland is surely enough, don't you think?

Children need NAMBLA, NAMBLA study says...

These studies would be a real hoot, if they weren't so serious.

Children need to come in to Toys-R-Us more often says Toys-R-Us representative. After a recent Toys-R-Us study. Another representative from Master Card agreed. Saying that a recent Master Card study showed that children that shop at Toys-R-Us should be issued their own Master Card.

In related news, people that do studies said that they found after doing a recent study that more studies are needed. And that they are studying the results of the study and hope to have a study of the study about studies available soon. Just as soon as the study is ready. All of which is under study.

The article also does not say that they were talking about 12 year old girls. They could get kicked out of school for having an aspirin, but there is an entire burueacracy dedicated to making sure 12 year olds are sexually active and can get abortions without their parents' knowledge. PP depends upon secrecy and deception. While PP might lose 46% of its business, I seriously doubt that every 12 year old girl will continue to be sexually active if their parents knew about it. This must be a multi-billion dollar industry by now. The government continues to fund PP to the tune of $400 million a year with no accountability.

And good riddance to Weakland. He degenerated into nothing more than an anti-Catholic gadfly. He is entitled to his views, but not entitled to use his position to say that they carry the weight of his church.

They're busted. Bring on the RICO. Bring on the FACE. Bring on the individual civil lawsuits. Bring on the class action lawsuit.

Funny then, that teen pregnancies and STDs were much rarer when there was mandatory parental notification, lack of availability for teen birth control, and abstinence was taught in nearly every home.

"We strongly support parental involvement," she said. "But the point is, requiring parental notification won't force girls to talk to their parents."

"On the other hand, providing medication to minor children without their parents' consent will open a meaningful dialog between the generations and inspire trust, confidence, and a warm, supportive environment," she added.

Translation: "We have to present the image of support for parental involvement through this empty rhetoric or soccer moms would crucify us and man would the money well dry up! However, notifying parents that we're giving their kids drugs would allow the parents to usurp our authority as proxy agents of the State, and that goes against our socialist plan."

Allow this parent to educate y'all a little bit on these walking filth from so-called "Planned Parenthood", a euphemistically-named group of blood-thirsty abortion pushers.

My sixteen year old daughter can't leave her high school campus for lunch without our specific permission. However, she can get an abortion from "Planned Parenthood" without me knowing a thing about it.

THAT is a fact. Verified.

If ANYONE here even ATTEMPTS to defend that f**ked up, twisted logic, I'll take your head off.

I don't understand these Planned Parenthood perverts.

What kind of normal human being takes such an obsessive sexual interest in other people's teenage children?

THIS BUSINESS OF DOING THINGS BEHIND THE BACKS OF PARENTS IS A DISGRACE.

WHAT FOOLS DO WE HAVE IN THIS COUNTRY?

LIKE, DUH, I'M A PARENT AND THAT MAKES ME UNQUALIFIED TO SUPERVISE MY OWN CHILDREN. DUH.

I CAN'T BELIEVE THE PUBLIC LET'S THEM GET AWAY WITH THIS.

If any parents feel they are not qualified to supervise their own daughters, then let those parents give signed permission to have planned parenthood do things behind their backs.

Socialist monsters. Leave me and my kids out of it.

Parents are crazy. They've effectively turned over the decisions involving life and death of children and grandchildren to public schools and organizations like Planned Parenthood. You want the public schools to give your minor children contraceptives, or to provide them abortions without your knowledge or consent? The schools are stealing your children away from you. PARENTS - BE BRAVE. TAKE YOUR CHILDREN BACK!

"We have confidential services and we need to keep it that way," said Diane Reddy, an associate professor and director of health psychology at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee who is lead author of the study. "Requiring parental notification would have a very negative impact here."

Of course it would. Tends to hurt profits, huh?

Sure she does.

Here's a novel theory. I'll submit that Planned Parenthood sees parents as nothing more as a demographic pain in the @$$ group who hurts the bottom line, a group they would like to do without.

"Discussion of sexual activity with parents is a very sensitive topic, and talking about contraception is the acknowledgment of future activity," said state Rep. Sheldon Wasserman (D-Milwaukee), who also is an obstetrician. "But parents should have regular discussions with their children about their sexual activity and their sexual function."

Wasserman is another liberal elitist who knows what's best for your kids. Hey, you don't need to know what is going on in their lives; Planned Parenthood has all the videos and brochures needed for raising your kids in the proper manner. Just make enough money to feed them, and pay for an abortion when needed. They'll take care of the rest. Don't meddle.

"My problem with Planned Parenthood is they're encouraging young girls to go behind their parents' backs," Owens said.

Of course they do just that. Then again, I wouldn't expect a crack dealer to get parental consent either.

Girls Oppose Parental Notification

"The study, appearing in Wednesday's edition of the Journal of the American Medical Association, was funded by grants from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee's Center for Urban Initiatives and Research, the Society for the Psychological Study of Social Issues and Planned Parenthood of Wisconsin Inc."

But the organization is required to notify authorities in cases of abuse or if a child is mentally ill or young, Boyce said.

A "child" is under the age of 18. It is statutory rape for anyone, another child or an adult, to have sex with a child. But PP seems to think it's obligation to notify authorities extends only to children who are "mentally ill or young". No, PP is obligated to report to authorities in every case where any child is having sex. PP is afraid that if parents become aware that their children are being raped, as defined by statute, that the perps will be prosecuted, and there goes PP's reason for being.

It is absolutely sickening that our tax money goes to fund the perpetuation of criminal activity.

Pius XI is the same hole where the Gay/Lesbian Day of Silence was honored. Yep, Weakland had the same devastating effect on the morals of the Catholic community that Clinton had on the entire USA.
