"We strongly support parental involvement," she said. "But the point is, requiring parental notification won't force girls to talk to their parents."

"On the other hand, providing medication to minor children without their parents' consent will open a meaningful dialog between the generations and inspire trust, confidence, and a warm, supportive environment," she added.

Translation: "We have to present the image of support for parental involvement through this empty rhetoric or soccer moms would crucify us and man would the money well dry up! However, notifying parents that we're giving their kids drugs would allow the parents to usurp our authority as proxy agents of the State, and that goes against our socialist plan."

You would be surprised how many soccer moms don't want to KNOW what their daughter is doing.

The reason Grothmann's bill never got out of committee, despite the fact that the WI Assembly is majority-Republican, is due to the Republican representatives who simply WOULD NOT MOVE IT FROM COMMITTEE.

Frankly, pre-marital and extra-marital sex get a free pass in the 'public policy' halls. As a result, social disease, social disorder, and the psycoses accompanying fatherless childhood will become more prevalent.

All because a bunch of people don't have the guts to simply say what's right.
