I'd rather see visas from that part of the world cut off, at least for now. If they're bound to commit terror here, fingerprinting and photographing them won't make much difference. Especially since they're willing to kill theselves for their cause, whatever it is.

U.S. to Begin Fingerprinting Aliens...

and issue national I.D. cards for all aliens in the United States.

The idea of national ID cards for U.S. citizens is a slap in the face of FReedom.

It took them 11 months to come up with this, and it isn't for every foreign visitor? (What a great way to identify illegals, if the government were so inclined)

What about the aliens from Venus and Mars. Do they need to be fingerprinted too.

Do they have fingers?

They already can with the matricula cards. Only an illegal needs one of those. Should be a ticket home, but it ain't happening.

Well, they should - the company I work for fingerprints all employees and does extensive background checks. Why the US does not do this to people from known enemy territory is beyond me.

Hey, as long as they get a good clean print.

You never know when an alien will be caught sniffing around.

Fingerprint them as we show them the door.

Exactly what good is this fingerprinting thing anyway. How will it prevent another 9/11 or better yet how will it stop suicide bombers or a dirty bomber, if they are already dead, the fingerprints will hardly do us any good. What good is having their fingerprints We already know that they are flying our planes and living in our cities.

i think most reading the aforementioned understood that,
in the context of the posted article, it was saudi arabia being referenced.

don't get me wrong - there's usually nobody likes a smartassed sarcastic remark more than moi,
but the trigger just seemed a little hairy on that one ...

Will they tentacle print the ones without fingers. (Or maybe snout print if they are like the beasties in "Footfall").

Sorry, I just couldn't resist.
