Ah ha! Good to see I'm not the only one late. I forgot to refuel my rocket pack and had to take the putt-putter through the thread. I thought I'd never catch up! Had to leave earlier and it took a while to get to come back. My cat-eye glasses finally came in and I had to pick them up. Now I'm set for the car exhibit at the Mall this weekend. I can deck out in my cat-eyes, poodle skirt, and saddle shoes while I 'guard' our car.

It's been a really good thread today, hasn't it? Laughter and tears and lots of wonderful tributes.

Thanks, Miss Sassy ! The Magic of Ice! With just 2 30-40 minute ice pack applications to my left cheek bone (just like the doc told me), the bleeding had almost stopped. I would bet that in the morning I won't need the prescription pain stuff and can go to the Advil or other OTC for it. I may not need anything I hope. They told me I can resume daily workouts Wednesday morning.

Thanks everybody for your prayers for my mom! I wish I had good news to give, but she's not any better. Her heart is still in a state of 'quivering' and beating around 150-160 beats per minute even with her lying flat on her back all day.

The doc is going to 'shock' her heart tomorrow to try to get it beating normally. I pray that it works. There is a small risk that her heart will stop and the docs won't be able to get it beating again, so my mom is worried. She tends to expect the worst case even if the chance is very small.

My daughter and I are going to be with her at the hospital tomorrow. Thanks for your prayers and for your friendship! I love you all! Jen

Special prayers for your Mom, you, and the rest of your family tonight. We just went through something similar with my step-dad, and have gone through all the emotions. His heart did stop...twice...but he's okay now with a pacemaker.

Our Lord works wonders, and I'll pray for wonderful healing for your mom.
