To our Men and Women in the Military

I want to thank each and every one of you for taking the time to write to us. It means so much to all of us. Mail Call Monday is the day when we get to hear from you. You are the reason our beloved Snow Bunny created this wonderful place called the USO Canteen Freeper Style. This is the place where everyday of the year we thank you and honor you. We only give a fraction of what you give to us, but our hearts are full of love and respect for the work you do and the sacrifices you make. We can never repay you for all you do to keep us free and protected, but we come here every day to thank you from the bottoms of our hearts.

I'm blessed and honored to be part of the wonderful Canteeners, Snow Bunny is a living Angel and so is Jen, Samwolf, Cote, Misty, Spooky, Souris, 4theflag, Tonkin, Linda, GatorGirl, Sassy, Kneezles, Kathy, MoJo, COB, HiJinx, HighWheeler, and too many more to mention. We all have one purpose in mind and that is to honor our Country and our Troops. Together we have fun, laugh, dance, and sometimes cry but through it all, united we stand.

It's truly a blessing to have found this place, to be able to post to you all, our precious troops out there keeping us safe from the "evil doers". You are very welcome! We love doing it. Howdy, ya'll ! I got back from the dentist about 4 p.m. today Central time. They worked on #15 (upper left molar. They did a "crown lengthening". That's a fancy dentist way to say surgery to make the other dentist able to install a crown. The tooth had decayed a bit and he didn't have enough there to stick it on, so they got the scalpel and files and grinders cranked up and went after it......for two hours. About halfway, I started to have a little pain cause the local started to wear off. (He gave me more local anesthetic twice during the procedure). Bled quite a bit too. They gave me a prescription for codeine and that knocked me out for 1-1.5 hours. Just took a second dose and thought I'd check my e-mail and stop in here before it kicks in. (I stuck a gel pack/ice pack on for about 30-40 minutes a couple of times and the bleeding seems to be subsiding - YAY !). It's doing better than I thought it might, especially since the dentist told me to stop by the pharmacy on the way home and take TWO of 'em right away.

I haven't checked pings to me yet, so sorry for no replies back to you today since the Armadillo posts, lol! That was fun, hehehe. Well, guess I'll be back in here manana. Ya'll have a good evening !
