When I vote for a someone on the board I first take anyone who started their own grassroots organization. Secondly, I look for someone who has had the experience in Washington D.C.

hmmm...well, Joe Foss also got a good taste of airline security and public ignorance when the federalised guards tried to keep him from bringing his MOH on an airliner. Got quite a bit of publicity about that.

Sure he is old -- so is Charlton Heston. Or were you planning to pin some balls on Wayne and support him 'cause he's younger?

Perhaps Larry Pratt meets your criteria? Actually, I support the NRA because it takes the heat from BigMedia, while GOA actually protects our RKBA. Nonetheless, with the name and background of Joe Foss, even BigMedia will have to tread softly. I mean, can you see the Brady Bunch calling him a gun-crazed idiot? (OK, yeah, maybe they would...there's no predicting that gaggle)

Or the reaction when Rosie McDonald announces that Foss should be in jail for owning a gun?

Save electing a man like Neal Knox, I see the NRA presidency as a leader who symbolises our freedom, not as a politician. LaPierre is doing the lobbying anyway...hmmm, maybe Ann Coulter should take his job. Those preverts (sic) in the Congress might leave the interns alone if they could have dinner with her...

I already mentioned who I would nominate.
The reason I said that Foss and Cooper are too old is because they have been active in the Second Amendment fight for years and since they were never the President before, I can't imagine that they would be more effective now.
They are both heroes to me.
