I already mentioned who I would nominate.
The reason I said that Foss and Cooper are too old is because they have been active in the Second Amendment fight for years and since they were never the President before, I can't imagine that they would be more effective now.
They are both heroes to me.

Almost all the names mentioned seriously would make a good choice that we would likely all agree on. Even the folks whose main claim to leadership is a movie or record contract have done a fine job of standing up for RKBA. Until Charlton Heston came along, being a famous celebrity was not the main requirement for the NRA presidency -- but he did a great job in the part, as he has in most everything he has done.

It was probably lost among all the words in that short bio of General Foss, so I just wanted to point it out one time more.

You wrote, "The reason I said that Foss and Cooper are too old is because they have been active in the Second Amendment fight for years and since they were never the President before, I can't imagine that they would be more effective now", (my emphasis added)

while I had posted,"From 1988 to 1990, Foss was in the spotlight again as president of the National Rifle Association (NRA).

Today, Foss travels around the country and the world, talking about leadership, patriotism and his enduring faith in God." (again, I added the emphasis)

OK, now we women can go back to discussing Mel Gibson, while the fellers can talk of the beautiful women who enjoy and defend our RKBA...
