ALERT - Georgia State Civil Emergency Declared Until After 2am - No Details Given.

TV just stated that we were to turn to channel 10. Channel 10 states that Georgia state is under civil emergency until after 2am.
Police knew nothing about it, and they gave me the non-emergency 911 number. Called them, and they said they're being deluged, and they have no details. They only know it's been declared, but they don't know why.

Yeah, wife said they just stated that Georgia was under civil emergency until after 2am, and gave no details. Then they went back to QVC.

I bet someone at the TV station was messing around with their EAS equipment, and sent it in error - CNN was quiet, nothing on FoxNews...if there were something to it, they'd be on it like ugly on an ape - so I'm betting it's an error.

911 guy was actually sort of rude. I could hear lots of activity in the background If you called 911 to ask what the emergency was I guess he might have been rude. They are supposed to ask that question. ( What's your emergency?) You didn't have one. The 911 system was put into place to report emergencies.. They have non emergency numbers for other calls. You should have called that one to ask questions.

Could this be related to the train derailment in Southeast Atlanta (hazmat crews were called in)?Several empty tanker cars derailed at a switching yard there.
That's the only thing that Fox 5 has that could be construed in that way...
