Clinton's a Liar is an anti-freeper? How the heck did that happen? She was one of the best motivated activists on FR during the 2000 election and she had a ton of backround in media relations that she used on this forum regularly (plus a cool screenname)

I, of course, understand there are forces on FR trying to destory it from within. The most dangerous types, IMO, are not the banned freepers, but the DU plants and other liberal disruptors who PRETEND to be conservative and show up on the forum to try and persuade conservatives not to vote for conservative candidates (or to vote for liberal candidates). They are especially effective in the south.

They are also very hard to detech because the put on a great facade of being "disgrunted" 3rd party people (even regularly chiming in on Clinton bashing), when in fact their hatred of mainstream conservatives is because they are lifelong liberal Democrats.

Watch your back.

I know you meant well BillyBoy, but I happen to be a disgruntled 3rd party member. I have a strong motivation to support the Constitution of the United States and defend it's borders. I would hope that you could understand that some of us are not merely disrupters but do care a great deal about this nation and it's longevity under the ideals it's found fathers promoted.

They come in all political stripes, but the pretend-conservatives/moderates do need to be watched.

""She (CAL) was one of the best motivated activists on FR during the 2000 election""

Not only that, but she was and I think still is Press Secretary (or some such title) for Alan Keyes. I find it hard to believe that she is now an anti-Freeper.

While I think she does disagree with much of the commonly-held politics of Freepers (I disagree with some myself), I just can't see Clinton's A Liar being destructive about it. She was one of the early victims of anti-Freeper activity her own-self.

You're right about the fake 'conservatives' that bash Clinton and play the 'disgruntled Republican - ultranservative' game very well. Some are sincere and make good points but the fakes are often those who are fanatically rabid about criticizing Bush (and use the DU epithets) beyond reason, or else they slip up and say something so over the top regarding conservatives that the mask falls off. I've seen it happen a time or two and it's very frustrating.

FR is a place for politically conservative debate but I find that it's often also a place where you have to debate around Libertarian philosophy endlessly (don't they have their own website?) and fight off the anti-Republicans and fake conservatives attempting to slip in discouraging, anti-conservative lies.

This latest anti-FR incursion needs to be cut off at the knees. Jim Robinson has a right to censor those who post on his website and attack FR and it's founders, whatever the reason. I don't care about the specifics. If some FR chapter had a theft of funds that's unfortunate but it doesn't have anything to do with the website. Attempts to smear the Robinsons and other FR officials with a localized law violation is cheesy. Let them file the stupid lawsuits or whatever it is they want to do but keep it off of FR. We have enough distractions.

YOU will bring down FR BillyBoy. Your attitude towards other posters will destroy FR, not infiltrators, not anti-Freepers, not disruptors. People like you want a Republican Underground. Why don't you start one of your own?

I, too wondered what happened to Clinton's a Liar. She (I believe) was on for a long time and I enjoyed reading her comments. She seemed like one of the main Freepers. Why on earth would she be banned I wonder?

I've long thought the same thing. I have a number of posters in mind who would fit this description.

CAL is was a staunch Alan Keyes supporter and worked his campaign... people who supported candidates other than W could not stand the heat within FR during the elections.Their agenda has been layed bare and it tends to show what people are really made of..It ain't always pretty....

It's disgusting to the marrow what some will do behind your back....No words can describe them.

"...but the DU plants and other liberal disruptors who PRETEND to be conservative and show up on the forum to try and persuade conservatives not to vote for conservative candidates (or to vote for liberal candidates). They are especially effective in the south."

Hold it there a moment, Bud. When a person chooses to not follow Republican "doctrine" lockstep, but sees the Republican platform as more closely fitting their beliefs, that does NOT make them a liberal. There are actions that are taken by the national Republican leadership - none excluded, that does not sit well with all party members. Open, constructive criticism certainly helps keep our party focused upon the more immediate issues and helps prevent personal agendae from ruling.

As for the south and voting for liberal, look at the lie the Republican party pushes with Dole and look at the prominient R. leaders endorsing her while disregarding the other, more honest Republican candidates. She BLATANTLY LIES of her involvement with N.C., won't debate nor associate with the other respectable N.C. candidates of the party and we're asked to vote for HER? I won't.

If Dole won't squarely face issues in truthfulness, certainly she would demonstrate no better character if in the Senate, something definitely intolerable for me. Shame on a party that condemned < cough > Clinton for lying of her N.Y. status and expects North Carolinians to endorse the same. I won't be endorsing Dole, the lie for Senate - and it doesn't matter who calls me what. So if Dole is ONE OF ONLY TWO CHOICES, the other has my support and vote. I will not knowing endorse a lie for any reason.

Period.
