Was a hot time in the old town tonight. Temps running in the high 90s, but with overcast and high humidity and an occasional breeze it was fine FReepin weather. We had thirteen patriots present tonight to oppose approximately the same number of cowardly traitors on the other side.
Freepers present were:
Tonight the traitors must have gotten tired of Saundra Duffy and Lager because they started packing up at 6:10 instead of 6:30. I wonder if they were paid until 6:30. Saundra yelled things like .... you're not a man so join the Taliban; coward; traitor, USA USA; and we support the troops. One motorist stopped at the signal on their side of the street, opened his door, stood up and gave them the 1 finger salule. I'm not sure what he was yelling at them but as he drove away, he started honking and gave us a thumbs up. They had some new signs, hopefully ladyinred can get the exact wording but the most obnoxious one was about spilling red Iranian blood for black Iranian oil to get black coffin dripping red American blood on American soil.
We enjoyed a lot of support from the motorists tonight. Chadsworth worked his magic and kept the horns honking. One guy called out to me and was pointing at a flag on his back window and then just as the light changed he hollered out, "I'm a vet!"
On the other hand one passing lady(?) gave us her IQ (or maybe it was her age?), either way it was a single digit. One other car with three young ladies stopped in the turning lane and asked if we wanted peace. I ignored her offer, and I told her that we were going to win the peace by killing the terrorists. She says, but what about all the women and children? Oh, well, I shrug, they should've thought about that before attacking us. We didn't start this war, but, by God, we're gonna end it.
All in all it was a great FReep followed by great Mexican food at the Plaza Ventanna. Thanks to all for attending and hope to see those who couldn't make it tonight, next week.

I will ask Jeff about it when he gets home, or maybe he will log on and get his pings before he leaves work. If not, I will be sure to ask him. I really don't know very much about tweaking. :-)
It's always nice when people take the time to stop by and show their appreciation for what we are doing.
A lady came up to me last night and asked me what we were doing. I explained that we come out on this corner every Friday to support our troops and our President in his efforts to stop terrorism, and that we also come out to counter the pro-terrorist, America haters, dissidents and malcontents who protest on the other corner. She was very appreciative and told me that she had put 10 years in the Navy and was a Gulf War veteran.
Now, if we could somehow get these very appreciative people to join us .... wouldn't that be nice?
mtngrl, we missed you last night. Even though chadsworth and FriendAnn did a wonderful job out there, FReeper Island just isn't the same without you. Hope to see you at next week's rally.
It was a pleasant surprise to see you both at the rally last night. We love it when you two can join us, even though you couldn't stay to the end.
Saundra, I think you chased off the pro-terrorists early last night with your well chosen words. I know they just hate it when you show up. LOL!
Lager, I'm sorry, I see that we didn't get a picture of you. :-(
LOL! Yes, MB got some great Mexican food and a frosty cold Margarita. (But, from the looks of some of the pictures of her on this page, she should have just had the Margarita.) :-(
Yewr definately not a tweeker...lol and I am sure don't know what one is...
I have never heard of the Sherwood Inn, so I used that handy google toolbar search, and sure enough, there it is. Looks like about 15 minutes away from Fresno.
You're right, lodwick, looks like a nice place to eat.
What do you think, Amy? If lodwick ever makes it out here, shall all of us FResno FReepers trek over there with him? Maybe we should check it out before he gets out here. ;-)
Hmmmm.....is that a good thing, or a bad thing?
Oh, I guess you wouldn't know, since you don't know what one is. LOL!
