When the fire was first reported, it was thought to be arson, and the baby's father was a suspect. So was her mother, according to some sources. Her mother is a total dimwit, only the grandfather was interviewed on TV. He is a brave, upstanding man who clearly loves his granddaughter and does the best he can. Prayers for him as well as baby Emily, who has been in my prayers since the fire, and will need prayers for the rest of her life. Her mother is clearly not to be trusted. Many thanks for helping.

I spent some time at Harborview when my daughter was burned years ago... I still get angry when I think of the little girl in the same room as my daughter who's mom (there was no dad around to begin with) never visited... not once... but grandma was there every single day...

I worked with a nurse who also worked the burn unit. She told me over 40% was a death toll for sure.
I cried a month or so ago hearing about this child beating the odds. 75% is incredible to survive!!!

PS None of us will ever know the pain and misery this child has suffered. Just incredible, really, to think of it. There is nothing quite as bad a being burned and what you endure afterward to survive.

Thank God this little one has a grandfather such as this.
