An old article, but worth the read for culture warriors.

In her book, The Sacrament of Abortion, she calls for new rituals as well as laws to restore to abortion its sacred dimension. Actually its the sequel to "The Sacrament of Kristallnacht"
What a sick, sick women.

A truly excellent article, demonstrating the tendency for moral disorder to infect an entire society. A depressing read, for those who hope for moral regeneration.

What an excellent post! But I'm sorry to say that this essay stirred in me a feeling of loss. Is there really a way to bring the culture back other than to live one's life according to the standards he expounds upon as moral? I don't think there is, specifically because of the collusion the author touches upon, of so many of our citizens, in the advancement of these evils.
And to my mind their collusion is all the more damning and effective, because it is a collusion of silence in the face of apparent evil for the sole reward of not having to endure ridicule or criticism because of a belief. In other words their collusion is motivated by cowardice, and not a type of cowardice that a person might be able to understand, such as acting in a certain manner because one's life might hang in the balance. It amounts to no more than a fear of popular opinion. And that type of cowardice really scares me.

This isn't an old article; it's a timeless one. I referred to this essay in
An Unholy Sacrament for an Inhuman Race. Abortion is merely a sacrament for today's Godless, hedonistic society. It is a return to the ancient ritual of child sacrifice.

It's a little musty," but it's also a little "fusty." The write has been stricken by Academian's Disease, in which the language and setup obscures and delays the point he's trying to make.
If you cannot tell the gist of a piece by the end of the first paragraph, then it's too late.

The virtual reality of the rationalization is stronger than the actual reality of the child. The child succumbs to the rationalization and is killed in a new "sacrament." Hence the reason some people post graphic picturs of the "results of abortion," right Kepera?
Nice post, JMJ333.
One of the things that I've noticed about moral rationalization is that people rarely rationalize highly immoral things. Consider that every person has a line they will not cross. For example, in sex, it's OK to kiss a non-spouse but not to French kiss, etc. When the person decides to cross the line and rationalize the decision, they also move the line. It's not that they've rationalized doing a bad thing, but (as the article states) they've made the bad thing good. Now it's OK to French kiss a non-spouse, but not to grope. But groping is no worse today than French kissing was yesterday. Therefore the rationalization to move the line again is just as easy as it was before, if not easier due to the practice.
This is where the moral slippery slope comes from. What was wrong has become right, what was horrific (pedophelia) is now mearly a bad idea (because it doesn't involve consent).
Shalom.

Thanks so much for posting this. It has been my philosophy for so many years, but I am not quite as thorough or articulate. Mine is a very simple summary: "Everyone HATES to be wrong, and will do anything they have to do to deny anyone else (including God) the right to say they are wrong."
Often, these liberal arguments to "prove I'm right" come with elaborate, rational-sounding reasons. When push comes to shove, however, these folks cover their ears and begin calling names... (intolerant, bigot, religious fanatic, etc.)
