Too hard to hit. I will admit to shooting at dragonflies once while duck hunting in Ouachita Parish. (I was bored)
I took a few shots at some bats at dusk once. Hard critters to hit.(I was bored also)
Bat sonar is 100% useless at avoiding incoming supersonic projectiles. They could learn to dodge when a gun barrel points in their direction. Probably it just means that they tend to make sudden sharp changes of direction.
I don't know about radar, but try shooting into a "cloud" of blackbirds. They move out of the way of the shot. No kidding. I unloaded a 12 guage at them and didn't hit a single bird.
Monroe is where west Nile got pretty bad last year, now it's back there again. I'm not too far from Monroe, I sure hope it doesn't come around here.
