Imus just asked Lieberman why Rubin isn't in handcuffs and dragged out in front of the cameras like all of the other criminals. Lieberman seemed to doze off at that point...

Lieberman also mentioned that Dan Burton is looking into this mess and should call Rubin to the stand. Calls to Burton's office may need to be made...

Excellent work on this, and thank you for the report!!
One nice thing is that a lot of DC people listen to Imus, so that comment on Rubin is bouncing around the Beltway...HA!

It's time to start making calls FReepers! This calls for a major FReep effort. Let's Roll and Eagles up!

That is Burton has been marginalized so Lieberman wants him to deflect the spotlight from his failure to call Rubin

My question is. Since, Congress is so concerned with putting CEOs in jail for misdeeds. Who will do the same for these public officials who do not managed the peoples funds?

Would you like to join me in a class action suit against the corrupt Congress members who are far worse at cooking the gov. books and robbing us?

And when Lieberman tried to deflect the Rubin question with a side-stepping "Harkin-Halliburton" reference, Imus didn't let him get away with it.

Since, Congress is so concerned with putting CEOs in jail for misdeeds...From the AP -
White House spokesman Ari Fleischer said President George W. Bush "is determined that people who break America's laws and engage in corporate practices that are corrupt will be investigated, and will be held liable, will be held accountable and will likely end up in the pokey, where they belong."
Who will do the same for these public officials who do not managed the peoples funds?
One perp at a time. One perp at a time...

Lieberman trying to shift responsibility to Dan Burton was a not so artful dodge. I bet it's the first time ever, a self-important, pompous ass senator has deferred to the much maligned Dan Burton...or any lowly congress House critter, for that matter.

Something tells me that Imus is a closet Rush fan. He could not have thought up the "Rubin" question by himself, since he's insulated within the New York leftist mind controlling media.

Yesterday I emailed Imus a letter updating my previous letter to Joe (the conscience of the Senate) LIEberman, in addition to emailing my previous letter (on my profile page).
Don't know if it was my letter, but he asked him chapter and verse, questions that I proposed LIEberman be asked.
Nice to see someone keep the pressure on LIE-man to call Rubin before the November elections.
Need everyone's PING power to keep the issue alive.

I think it is near the time that we the people start waking up and get the scum out of the public houses. Traficant gets 8 years and the Hammer gets a slap on the wrist for nearly the same thing...Where is the justice here? It is time for some major FReeping......

I heard most of the discourse with Lieberman. Imus occasionally hits one out of the park, and this was one of those times.
He would NOT let Loserman off the hook until he heard him say that he would call Rubin in to testify. He (Imus) was ready to choke him, literally.

A simple way to provide them their just reward is the ballot box.
VOTERS, ON ELECTION DAY TAKE OUT THE TRASH !!
This is so simple, no long hearings, no backroom deals, no expense of a trial and best of all no protection from people of the same type.

Lieberman also mentioned that Dan Burton is looking into this mess and should call Rubin to the stand. You can't say that Lieberman is dumb. The dems would far prefer that Burton, rather than the Dems in the senate, call Rubin. They have proven TIME and TIME AGAIN THAT THEY CAN DISMISS ANYTHING THAT BURTON DOES AS right wing buffonery. I disagree, but they have his number.

C-span has on Linda Chavez, and the call-in lines are designated
"Supporters of Pres",
"Opponents of Pres",
"International"
. I haven't watched the entire interview, but I bet the line designations have cut down the number of democrats pretending to be republicans.

Yesterday I emailed Imus a letter updating my previous letter to Joe...Imus read a few emails that flowed in after he polished off 'the conscience of the Senate.' They were pretty rough. No one bought Joe's attempts at whatever he was trying to do. One emailer enjoyed hearing the sweat on Lieberman's lip...
