A day in the life of President Bush (photos): 8/1/02

President Bush was granted trade promotion authority today by the Senate, and later thanked them for working so hard on this issue. Bush also met with Jordan's King Abdullah and discussed the war on terror, the crisis in Israel, and future actions against Iraq. Although King Abdullah made it clear that an attack on Iraq could lead to unrest in the entire region, Bush made it clear that he would not change his mind regarding a regime change. On the lighter side, Bush signed the Nursing Reinvestment Act of 2002, which will create federal assistance programs for nursing students as well as support a public service campaign encouraging people to become nurses. Enjoy your daily dose of Dubya!

The one about the 2 teenagers. You commented on it....I got REALLY TICKED over these macho men, with all their tough guy tactics that they would pull.....as they sat comfortably by their computers...
Not to mention, all the judging that was going on. I sorta kinda lost it.
To: Brad's Gramma
You didn't lose it at all, BG. What you said cut to the heart of the matter and was right and true. The macho jerks would most likely cower and squeam if they were in the same situation.
SO glad the girls are in safe hands now. I'm sooo sorry they experienced 'what they did'. Prayers heavenward. <><

and pray for the upcoming election - there is so much to do. OH, and for the economy - we are in deep trouble there apparently - and the Demrats are loving it! Pray for God's mercy in this economic hardship time. Thanks - and that is all. Nite! Prayer is good, but it will not change things. Only PR will. Get out there and advertize! (And pray all the while as well!)
God has given you the discernment to see that PBA is wrong. You, me and all like-minded folks must educate the others. Most Americans still believe that abortion is illegal after the first trimester, if they think about it at all!

Worth a read and does not open to pictures. Please check this site out and let me know if it is worth advertizing in my neighborhood.

Welcome back, rin! It's good to see the Dose with its usual rintense-touch.
This photo - wow. He doesn't give that look, ever, when he's of one mind with the person who's meeting with him.

Dear lawgirl,
These are tough times you and your husband are going through, but I sense there is a reason for it, and that later you will need and treasure what you have learned during this difficult time. Take care of and for one another while things are rocky externally, and press into the Lord with all your heart.

Prayer is good, but it will not change things. You, my fellow poster, are greatly mistaken.
Isaiah 65:24 And it shall come to pass, that before they call, I [the Lord] will answer; and while they are yet speaking, I will hear. Luke 11:9 "So I [Jesus] say to you: Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you. 10 For everyone who asks receives; he who seeks finds; and to him who knocks, the door will be opened.
2 Kings 20:9 Isaiah answered, "This is the LORD's sign to you that the LORD will do what he has promised: Shall the shadow go forward ten steps, or shall it go back ten steps?"
20:10 "It is a simple matter for the shadow to go forward ten steps," said Hezekiah. "Rather, have it go back ten steps."
20:11 Then the prophet Isaiah called upon the LORD, and the LORD made the shadow go back the ten steps it had gone down on the stairway of Ahaz.
Just a sampler from the Good Book. Prayer to the one true God either changes things or it changes the pray-er to cope with things.
Activism is good and at times essential.

Thank you, all, for your many words of support on this dose, and while rintense was away. It really helped to have your encouragement!
To: lawgirl
Hey lawgirl! Hang in there, kiddo! We're all here for ya. Always remember, when God closes a door, he opens a window.
To: Senator Pardek
LOL! It looks like a strange patterned tie.

I had some refresher training in Dreamweaver MX. It was too easy so I surfed the web most of the time. LOL! Did a wee bit of shopping too... Thanks for asking!
