A day in the life of President Bush (photos): 8/1/02
yahoo.com, whitehouse.gov

Posted on 08/01/2002 6:51:05 PM PDT by rintense

President Bush was granted trade promotion authority today by the Senate, and later thanked them for working so hard on this issue. Bush also met with Jordan's King Abdullah and discussed the war on terror, the crisis in Israel, and future actions against Iraq. Although King Abdullah made it clear that an attack on Iraq could lead to unrest in the entire region, Bush made it clear that he would not change his mind regarding a regime change. On the lighter side, Bush signed the Nursing Reinvestment Act of 2002, which will create federal assistance programs for nursing students as well as support a public service campaign encouraging people to become nurses. Enjoy your daily dose of Dubya!

I lived in Redlands for most of my life. I'm now in the Sacramento area. What small town in SoCal are you from?

It's none of your business about the hours reDublican keeps.

I was raised in Twentynine Palms. My dad was a retired marine who worked civil-service in an LAV R&D project.
I've been to Redlands plenty of times. Lots of nice antique places around there. Plus, a good friend of mine went to the U of R. PLUS, my mom and I used to set aside entire weekends to go thrift shopping in San Bernardino. Angel View Thrift, anyone? Valley Thrift? Lighthouse for the Cheap..er, Blind?

I've been to those thrift joints! And I attended the UofR...as did Lerch (hubby). Those were the days BEFORE coed dorms. Redlands was a wonderful place to grow up. :o)

You two are a riot!

Brad's Gramma, you ought to change your screenname to Brad's Wonderful Gramma...BWG...the mirror image of the president's initials....GWB!

Yes, I tend to stay up late. Fortunately, I don't work tomorrow. I'm not tired, though, because I took a nap today...I think I'm sick, or something. I don't feel bad, but my eye started swelling up and I looked something like Igor the hunchback lab assistant. It was embarrassing. I didn't even have sunglasses to disguise the hideousness of it all. Oh well, fortunately it seems to be healing up quite rapidly. Go figure. Anyway, that's why I'm up so late and spry, to boot, because I had a nap.

Brad's Wonderful Gramma! Wow, betcha someone's eating her heart out now!

Sorry about the eye problem thing, Igor. Probably came from wearing MY glasses, I'd say.

Ladies, it has been FUN FUN FUN, but I've GOT to unload the dishwasher and go to bed. Mama, be NICE to reDub, will ya?
