This is vitally important to keep in mind as the shrieking from Europe over a war with Iraq intensifies. If we go to war with Iraq, the Europeans will shudder at our belligerence as if we'd used a cheese knife on a piece of fish. Good find, I think this is a good short intro to the difference between American and European mindsets. Pragmatism vs. Idealism.

"Europeans have done something that no one has ever done before: create a zone of peace where war is ruled out, absolutely out," explains Karl Kaiser, director of something called the Research Institute of the German Society for Foreign Affairs in a piece in Wednesday's Chicago Tribune." He then added, "We don't count the two wars in Bosnia and Kosovo during the 1990's, and we don't count the invasion by Morocco of Spain's Parsely Island this year, nor do we count Spain's retaking of that island with military force.
Oh, we also don't count Turkey's on-going war with the Kurds or the Greece Turkey dispute over Crete.
What we really mean is that England isn't at war with Wales and France isn't at war against Germany.
See, we Europeans really have banned all wars if you just look at it all our way!"
Editor's Note: After his medicine and therapy, we are hopeful that Karl will be able to earn his release from the asylum...

Yes, they are superior. I especially like how they handled the Russians when they got out of hand, and the Germans when they got out of hand twice. Pure genius. Such power and fortitude. I wish America was more like Europe. If all Americans started emulating Europeans, we could all live in peace. That is, until somebody realized we were a bunch of wusses with no defense, and cracked our heads open.

Those lazy fluff heads don't care one bit as Muslim populations stream into their precious little nations. One day they will be on the Muslim dinnerplate.
