I had Friday off and put it together that notorious thread that day.
Anyhoo,one time there was a bit of controversy on the California state pages when I briefly "defected." I start with a response to Great Dane...
Great Dane, it all started so innocently (yeah, right) when somebody inquired about how many Californians were listed, to which I (and another Freeper) responded 477 and told the person how to research it. Then JohnnLee said we were wrong when somebody pushed the total to 478. Not liking to be corrected, the following exchange took place...

'Morning SheLion! We love having you here.
I am sorry to say that Maine is one of only about five states I have not visited. New Hampshire is as far north as I have gotten on the eastern seaboard. Someday I am going to get back there. I would love to see some of the old lighthouses and your rugged coastline. From pictures I have seen, it looks beautiful. I couldn't handle your winters though. I think I will come in the summertime. LOL!

Thanks for all that you are doing, Mama Bear. I mostly lurk on your thread, because my vocation and avocation, replacing the income tax with a National Retail Sales Tax and abolishing the IRS is a 24/7 job, and my time is limited! Sure do enjoy lurking here, though.
Actually, I am a native Virginian -- born in Richmond a long time ago. I am proud to be a Virginian! Though I am not as steeped in our rich history as I'd like to be, I am fairly knowledgeable about it, and working diligently to keep the Liberal/Socialiast/Marxist influence at bay!
