"A Time for Choosing" was one of the greatest speeches ever given. I remember watching it on TV a couple nights before the 1964 election. It helped boost Goldwater to 40% and made Ronald Reagan a force to reckon with for the next three decades. (I was a Student for Goldwater that year and Barry won the election in my school by 11 votes. We, the SFG's were so excited about Reagan's speech, that's all we talked about the next day.) Even Landru has probably forgotten that night, but that speech is engrained in my head forever.
