My father use to say that you can always judge a society by how they value and care for their children and their elderly.

This nation has legalized abortion. The new message for our elderly and their families is the concept of "Death with Dignity".

200 years ago, a freak like this would have been tarred, feathered, and hung (if he was lucky). 100 years ago, he would have been given a fair and decent trial presenting all the evidence before he was hung. 50 years ago, he would have been given a fair and decent trial before either the electric chair, the gas chamber, or the rest of his life rotting in prison.
