This morning, President Bush, joined by firefighters and police officers, emergency personnel and local public officials, addressed members of Congress in the Dwight D. Eisenhower Office Buiding at the White House on the subject of the Homeland Security Department, stressing the need for managerial flexibility as a key to it's success. This afternoon in a ceremony in the East Room of the White House, he honored the anniversary of the Americans with Disabilities Act, calling on Congress to fund his New Freedom Initiative budget requests.

Last night House and Senate negotiators agreed on a bill that would give President Bush fast tracked trade promotion authority, and this afternoon, he made a trip to Capitol Hill to thank them, and to urge House Republicans to back the bill. Enjoy your Daily Dose of Dubya!!

He's a good Congressman. I emailed him and got a nice reply tonight.I am just so sad tonight. I keep thinking about the freedom I enjoyed as a little girl. I loved going for walks, picking wild flowers, climbing my favorite trees, and exploring my secret world.

Today that sort of independence is lost for our children. I wonder, how much to blame is the fact we live in a country where the life of a child has so little value, that we allow such things as partial birth abortion.

This past few months have been heart breaking seeing all the abductions of little girls.

We all need to pray for the families of these missing and murdered children. I cannot imagine the pain they must be going through. I hope and pray God will help them through it all.
