I did ping the both of them to this thread. I just thought the rest of you would like to see the sort of "humor" the rest of us have been seeing from these and other fine Freepers on the Westerfield trial threads.

You're making huge assumptions, that you know the person's heart, and they are SINCERELY sorry and asking forgiveness. Mouthing words doesn't make it so. Also, how can he go to the one he wronged when he's tortured and murdered her and ask her forgiveness before approaching our Lord? I don't think he can. Burn, ba$tard, burn!

I believe what Ipberg means is that when certain immoral activities are condoned by society under the guise of free speech, then there is hell to pay. And we keep seeing that "hell" played out, only it gets more and more despicable.

Pornography -- heck, even virtual child pornography that is indistinguishable from the real thing and might even be the real thing -- is A-OK in our sick society according to the over-the-line free speech freaks. I'm for free speech myself, but I am against arguments of First Amendment rights that protect sickos. That's not free speech at all, that's enabling the sick in our society to prey upon people, children and animals (yeah, that's right, photos and videos of bestiality acts are considered free speech by sickos; such freedom incites sickos to do it and then do more of it.) This is absolutely wrong.

Hooray! You hit the nail on the head. It's the parents who are the front line of protection. Five year old girls unsupervised, in a driveway and public street? A six year old girl with a male transient? What did they expect?

I'm hoping it's a misstatement, but the article says the six year old girl "decided" for herself where she was going to stay. Sorry Mom and Dad are fighting, but that does not give them the right to put this important decision-making in the hands of their child.

Sadder here at FR is the demonization of the Mom across the street, when it was Dad that exposed this child to the monster.

Two perfectly innocent little girls were killed by perverts because adults first couldn't take the time to go outside when their little girls were playing in front of a condo and in the second case they let a homeless man in a house.

There is ABSOLUTELY no comparison to be made in these two situations.
