President Bush and First Lady Laura announced a new initiative to increase public awareness and encourage Americans to consider adoption of children in foster care. Bush was joined by Bruce Willis, who the President picked to be the spokesman for initiative, as well as Willis' daughters and ex-wife Demi Moore. The PSA can be seen on the White House web site. CONGRATS on being the honored Freeper!Thanks you two! Having a featured Freeper is something that was just started recently, maybe a month ago. I am sure we will all have our turn at it.
As we conservatives unite and work toward a common goal, there's no stopping us. Free Republic has given us a means of getting together and a way to correspond with each other. It's a powerful tool. Before Free Republic was founded, would any of us who stand up to the peaceniks in our part of the country (and we in Fresno are by far not the only ones who do this weekly) know when or where to meet? No. Countering the peaceniks would just not be happening. I love Free Republic!

What I can't figure out is how you managed to lurk a whole year without posting. I used to be considered shy by those who know me best. Getting out and standing up to Gary Condit and then the peaceniks has changed me quite a bit. Hehehe!

When the RATS started pointing fingers over ENRON, I knew they were going to regret opening that can of worms. Old Joe Lieberman will curse the day he began this witch hunt and demanding Senate hearings over ENRON. Now he has lifted the lid on Clinton's house of cards and X42's legacy is getting a new chapter

37 Mark the blameless man, and observe the upright;
For the future of that man is peace.
38 But the transgressors shall be destroyed together;
The future of the wicked shall be cut off. From our lips to God's Ears, FWI! Thanks for the Psalms; they are wonderful!

This isn't just Joe and his hearings
I think The Party of Bill Clinton knew the roof was about to blow .. I thinking they wanted to start early on pinning this on Bush so folks wouldn't notice them
That is their typical MO ..

Wow, how beautiful is the daughter standing next to Demi in the last picture! Of course she has good genes doesn't she?
What a lovely idea to start a program encouraging adoption. I agree with comment by OhioW about this going along with a pro life stance.
When you think of all of the childless people out there, who would dearly love to become parents it is heartbreaking to think of how easily some females chose to abort their babies.
Thanks for an especially touching dose tonight Rintense.

I haven't seen the thread where you were honored, but I will say that no one I know deserves it more! You are so dedicated, hard working, and one of the nicest people on the planet!

Wow, is that their daughter Tallulah in the 9th picture of Post 17? I didn't realize she was that old, but I guess it must be. She was born in the mid 80s, so she'd be between 15 and 17 by now. I love the names they chose for the girls, including Rumer (after the novelist Rumer Godden) and Scout (after the little girl in "To Kill a Mockingbird").
Saw something in one of the tabs that Bruce and Demi might get back together. For their girls, I hope so.

Congrats on being the honored Freeper! Ohio pinged me to the thread and I tried to load it but it had way too many pictures and was taking forever on this crusty old computer with old telephone lines so I didn't get to post on that thread. Way to go girl!
