[history]
The State Department yesterday said that as of today it is ending its "Visa Express" program in Saudi Arabia and will require those seeking visas to apply in person and be interviewed.
The program is being terminated in response to criticism from Congress that it has allowed terrorists to enter the United States, a senior State Department official said.

"The State Department views the issuance of visas as a diplomacy tool and a cash cow that generates at least $500 million in fees per year," Mr. Weldon said in a recent television interview. $500,000,000 worth more then 3000 people murdered on 9/11. Plus, all the future peasants that are killed in the future by the Sadui's who fund bin Laden and terror groups around the world.

Mr. Keil and diplomat Colombia A. Barrosse sent e-mails accusing Mr. Burton of McCarthyism for blaming diplomats who issued visas to September 11 terrorists for failing to protect America. It's socialist apparatchiks like this that need to be purged from the State Department and everywhere else that they hide.
These SOB's consider Republicans more of an enemy than the terrorists.
The GOP is at war with foreign terrorism and it's allies in the socialist US Democratic party.

Amazing...
It's taken the State Department 10 months before deciding to interview ALL Saudis before handing them visas to enter the U.S.? Didn't these pinheads get the memo that 15 of 19 terrorists who bombed the WTC and Pentagon were Saudis??
The ineptness just goes from bad to worst to a bad joke. I'm sure these morons have been taken a potassium iodide pills ever since...

I do, but it was slow in coming. Let's hope it doesn't take ten more months to declare the Saudis a terror state...
Because they are, even more than Pakistan, and have less than cooperative in this war.

for the State Department to make a move like this in ten months is a minor miracle considering the entreched liberals who inhabit the place. My brother works for the State Department and he tells me the Libs are stirred up like bee's over the latest proposals of restricting their ability to grant Visa's. They consider it a diplomatic ace card.
I consider this a major move in the right direction coming from the State Department.

State department is under the control of staffers. The staffers are liberal.
But, yes, I agree that Bush has the power to change it. He should clean house.

State Department is under the control of Republican President George Bush. State Department is under the control of liberal RINO Colin Powell. That's why nothing much has changed there since 9/11.

C'mon, we're at war, and the buck stops with the President. If Bush had wanted visa express stopped on 9/12, it would have been.
And it should have been. An EO would have done it.
Look at this, from the article...
The program is being terminated in response to criticism from Congress that it has allowed terrorists to enter the United States, a senior State Department official said.
President Bush has been slow off the ball where matters of immigration are concerned, even where it impacts the War on Terror. Ending visa express is a small step in the right direction, but as it stands, it doesn't appear Bush is even responsible for that bit of progress.

Of course Bush is slow.
This guy was praising Islam on 9-12.
He ran from Mosque to Mosque with his shoes off, then had a terrorist pray at the National Cathedral.
I wonder how his Saudi handlers will react to this. I guess Bush will tell them that it is beyond his control.
If he had his way, every Tom, Dick and Mohammed would be allowed into this country.
Ibn Al-Bush has shown where his loyalties lie.

The RINO is Bush.
You can't blame Powell.
Bush is in control.
