Update from OC Sheriff... Press conference..
Playing 911 tape of the people that found the body, male caller was extremely upset, and scared, he was crying, and telling 911 the location but the cell phone transmission was breaking up and was disconnected.
They called the telephone number he left before the disconnect and they called his home and got a messege machine. He called back within minutes and made contact again with 911 and was almost hysterical and crying saying it was little girl and was very distraught,
When Cell caller got home he called again from home phone and recontacted 911, 911 said they would pick him up and the he could show him where the body was.

Press conference continues, stating over 2000 citizens have given leads......

At 955 AM they made an arrest alihondro avial DOB 3-1375
If anything, the trial so far has shown him most likely to be innocent, rather than demonstrating proof beyond a reasonable doubt that he is guilty.
Now the media spin is a different story. There Westerfield has been convicted and hung.

I don't know about that, but this issue isn't even in the breaking news topics at the DU although Bush's vacation plans are. Unbelievable.
In my mind, there is only one proof of that: did the person behave thusly. Let's take this case, for example. How would somebody who did not know right from wrong act? I suppose the man have just walked up to Samantha, had his way with her, then killed her - right where she was, in front of her house for everybody to see. He would not lure her into the car, go somewhere secretly and commit the crime. Doing so would demonstrate that he knows what he is doing would be thwarted because he knows that every body else knows it's wrong. Insanity should be hard to prove.
And God didn't make little green apples, and it don't rain in Indianapolis in the summertime. There's no such thing as Dr. Suess, Disneyland or Mother Goose...no nursery rhymes.
According to the statistics.....if there isn't a child molester in your house.....there is one on your block. They were always there, but until now, they had to reign in their twisted sex drives. In the past...the whole community would descend on them and leave them a bloody pulp. Nowdays.....they get "counseling" and a few months in a prison with HBO. Time to turn back the clock!
I agree, that is the first thought of even the most God-fearing. But when reason kicks in, you realize that you just CANNOT leap into the abyss, where creeps like this wallow.
This guy was willing to send a message. "I don't care that you might catch me. I can take it." Okay, then let's dish out something the guy can't take.

People like this, decades in prison where other prisoners might get at them from time to time to exact a little "exercise yard justice"--talk about hell on Earth.
Jeffrey Dahmer actually lucked out.
