Wouldn't it make more sense for the family of the the victim to be be able to decide the punishment? Why the hell not? In my mind, the only justice in the world is for the father of this little girl to be able to take the scumbag out in any way he feels is right.

Why the hell not?

There are two reasons, in my opinion;

1.) We don't live in a filthy vermin infested backwater moslem country under shar'iah law.

2.)We're better than them that do.
