I kinda agree with O'Reilly on this one.

VERY hard labor for the rest of his life in a very inhospitable place would be about right.

Perhaps like the main character of Alexandre Dumas' The Count Of Monte Christo. Who was held in a terrible prison on some island If I remember correct if you are familiar with the novel

Do me a favor and explain to me how it is that pornography falls under the same essential class of human expression that is political dissent.

That's not my job. The First Amendment doesn't distinguish between political, pornographic, offensive or even blatantly dishonest speech.

As we both know, the government is more than willing to crack down on anyone evidencing "hate speech" or "suspicious" speech.

Oh, so because the government infringes of free speech one time, it can do it another? I oppose hate crimes laws and crackdowns on "suspicious" speech as much as I oppose obscenity laws. The First Amendment is absolute.

I should think the dehumanization of women and children than is a part of porn surely falls within the parameters of dehumanizing Jews or homosexuals or blacks or Catholics.

No doubt about it. The way, however, to eliminate pornography, if that's what you want to do, is to educate people about what you allege to be its harmful effects, discourage merchants from selling or producing it, and encourage the American People to find some other source of entertainment. More laws are certainly not the answer.

"What is it about images of human beings rutting like barnyard animals, trussed up like lynching victims or raping, slicing, beating and killing each other for sexual titillation of some Third Party purchaser that rises to the level of a Tom Paine pamphlet?"

For that matter, what is it about normal (if controversial) genuine political speech that does not "rise to the level of a Tom Paine pamphlet"?

Why is genuinely important political speech and public debate thrown to the dogs, while absolutely vile garbage that clearly fails the "redeeming social value" test is protected?

This seems to be a two edged sword, with both edges slashing wildly against reason and sanity.

I am a strict constitutionalist and I don't want it easily changed, but I have to say that there are some criminals who do in fact warrant "cruel and unusual punishment." I am quite serious about this.

And people look at me odd when I tell them you couldn't PAY ME to live in California... But you must understand, I grew up there between 1983 - 1989. I remember when it was a small nice town, I even remember when they put the first stop light in, but from that moment on it all went downhill, and downhill fast. I've visited twice since then with no intentions of ever going back, and what I saw those last two times was nothing good.

Sounds like you were associating crime with California, kitty. K?

Oh, come on, don't be so sensitive. Everybody knows California is the land of nuts and flakes. Why deny it? It's not like you can help it or anything. I should know, because I'm from the South, where we all marry our cousins and have bad teeth...:-)

Media sensationalism? A child is abducted, raped, and brutally murdered and it's considered sensationalism?

How heartless. Maybe you can explain this to the parents of Samantha?

This is media sensationalism at its worst.

A box of rocks has more sense than to make such a statement. It's the "media sensationalism" that helps solve some of these cases.

This is similiar to the tripe you have posted before about this case. What do you know about missing kids? Have you ever searched for one? Or known people that have lost a child to one of these devoids? Explain to us why any parent that has had a child abducted would agree with you that getting information out as loudly and as soon as possible is "media sensationalism".

Why don't you do something else that seems to suit you better than posting here? Pick the wings off of flys or kick your dog. Something you likely enjoy.
