Phyllis Schlafly was a hero of my mother and ann coulter is a woman I greatly admire...so it runs in the family. Speaking of MRS....when will be able to call annie, MRS....hahahahaha....another great column from annie the great !!!!

Soon feminists took up the issue of girl-firemen, demanding to know what possible arguments there were, pray tell, for women not to be firemen. (A short list: their inability to pick up the hose, their tendency to cry and panic when confronted with dangerous situations, the effect on families whose homes are on fire when they open the door and see the female equivalent of Michael Dukakis in a tank.)

This is a great article. She is right on about Phyllis Schlafly. Mrs. Schlafly is a large part of why I am a conservative, and often vote Republican. The Republicans owe her a lot for the fact that many conservatives vote Republican. But I've never heard anyone express gratitude to her or acknowledge what she has done, except Ann Coulter.

I belatedly greatly admire Phyllis Schlafly, I regret that I was sooooo stupid in my twentys and even remember laughing at jokes about her. Me, laughing at a woman who has more grace and smarts than I can ever hope to have. It's humiliating.

Phylis Schlafly is a great person. She is now near 80 and turning out an excellent column every week. She's been awesomely effective during her life and was ridiculed for it by the liberals every step of the way. She also did it while putting her family first.

anncoulter is cool, thanks for posting this. It's probably the most articulate article I've ever read of AC. It's absolutely excellent. I do recall back in the 70's when Mrs. Schafly was taking a pounding for standing up to the ERA amendment. What a gal! What a lady!!
