Senate Majority Leader Tom Daschle lately has kept Mr. Corzine at his side frequently as Democrats call on President Bush to get tougher with corporate executives who fraudulently inflate company earnings to boost stock prices.

"I think he's made a stellar contribution," said Sen. Paul S. Sarbanes, Maryland Democrat and author of a bill approved Monday by the Senate that would increase the penalties for corporate wrongdoers.

"I don't believe there is ever going to be anything that sticks about us at Goldman Sachs forcing anybody to buy anything," Mr. Corzine said in an interview. "Goldman Sachs never forced anyone to buy anything when I was chairman, I can tell you that."

Absolutely Clintonian!

Well it looks like another rat is about get the reality treatment. Gone are their good old days when the NYSLIMES, DC COMPOST, LA SLIMES and CNNCBSABCNBCCNBC would spike this news about this POS Rat crook.

Corzine, below is the reality of 2002 without Jake Reno and her buddy Blubber Clintoon in charge:

Asked whether he knew about an SEC investigation, Mr. Corzine said, "That could very possibly be; I'm not aware of it. I'm divorced from [Goldman] since 1999."

A class-action lawsuit filed in April 2001 accused Goldman Sachs and others of engaging in "laddering" on the initial sale of stock of NetZero, driving up the company's share price to artificially high levels.

In another class-action suit, shareholders of Buy.com have accused the firm and its underwriters, including Goldman Sachs, of engaging in a laddering scheme in its IPO in February 2000, after Mr. Corzine left Goldman. And investors of defunct online grocer Webvan.com have filed a similar suit in federal court concerning that firm's initial public offering in November 1999.

Another class-action suit filed last year says that underwriters, including Goldman Sachs, manipulated several IPOs since 1997, including at least six when Mr. Corzine was still at the helm of Goldman.

"spending more than $60 million of his fortune to win the seat"

Did he really spend his own money or he simply loaned them to his campaign ?

Yep, old Klayman should be filing one of his famous putz lawsuits against Rat Senator Corzine. However, that would be out of character for him since Blubber became X42.

Just look at the 60 million as an investment to become a Rat Senator like ChiFi Finekenstein, Da$$hole, the Hilldebea$t, Kerry, Dodd and other super rich Rat senators.

If you want to become even richer and more powerful invest $60 million in yourself to become a rat senator.

Schadenfreude!! Ha!

I will bet this starts the big clam up about the stock market, when it dawns on all of them that they can't hide their part in these goings-on!

Mr. Pitt is loaded for bear, and he doesn't care what the media says; he has the investigative power! LOL!

You know that Mr Pitt is really gearing up to take down a whole lot of bad eggs when the extremes on both sides go after him.

Actually, he reminds me of a big bear that is really poed at the yellow jackets in his area. He is now starting to rip out those yellow jacket nests. Their stings will only make him madder and more intent in ripping out their vile nests.

60 Million of his own money. Well, that money was some else's money at one time. Mr. Corzine participated in what I refer to as the "FLEECING OF THE AMERICAN PUBLIC."

If Corzine paid for his campaign with his own money, then who were all those folks who are listed at the FEC's website as donating to him giving to? Guess Corzine didn't just use his own money apparently. Though the article doesn't make that clear.

The donation lists make interesting reading.

Gee that wouldn't be the reason why they have been screaming for him to resign ... Would it??

Wonder what McCain has to say now??

"I've never even heard the term 'laddering' before," Mr. Corzine said yesterday.

You have got to be kidding me! I'm just a simple 401-k investor and I know what laddering is!
