[history]
Of all the names he's been called in the past few weeks -- and there have been plenty -- Mike Newdow can't quite understand how someone could call him a bad father. Or a traitor.
Newdow is the Sacramento man who challenged the phrase "under God" in the Pledge of Allegiance -- and won.

If anything, my opinion of him is even higher. Michael Newdow is meeting his requirements for child support despite the fact that the mother of his child tried to remove him from his child's life by moving 3,000 miles away and despite the fact that child support is almost double his income. Not only that, but it seems that the mother of his child was lying when she claimed the 9th Circuit Court decision came as a big surprise.
Rubin joined Newdow and his daughter when he presented oral arguments about the Pledge of Allegiance to the 9th Circuit Court of Appeals.
Newdow took his daughter for the experience but says she doesn't have to share his beliefs.
So here we have a father who completely uproots his life and pays out nearly double his income for his child, and a woman who is bending over backwards to deprive his daughter of her father, even to the point of lying to the press and the American public to garner sympathy and ammunition in her battle to deprive their daughter of her father.
Michael Newdow, whatever else he may be, should serve as a walking advertisement to American men to be careful whom they open their lives to, in case they end up sharing a child with a fatherhood hating feminazi.

If his court ordered child support is $24k per year...and he earned a mere $15k a year how is he possibly meeting his child support? Can you say DEADBEAT?!
He claims to work reduced hours in order to continue his lawsuits against the government (under God). Perhaps his real intent to to make the life of his daughter's mother...and thus his daughter...miserable.
Your admiration of Newdow is frightening.

The mother is not a feminazi. How dare you. You know NOTHING about the people involved in this case. What hateful beliefs you hold. What a sorry and bitter life you must lead. I have the utmost of pity for you. What a loss.

The article makes it clear he's living off savings. Every penny he makes, and the money he saved, is going to support his child. You really should have read the article before opening your mouth and inserting your foot.
I have no idea why you insist on demonizing this man. Maybe you're so hateful of the idea of anyone being an atheist that you can't see the forest for the trees. Whatever. In this instance, you have clearly succumbed to an anti-fatherhood feminazi agenda, with enough vitriol and vigor to please a whole fifth column of the hairy-legged manhaters. Congratulations.

Ahhhh...really? I know otherwise.

You're out of line. And you called me a feminazi once again.

Any woman that seeks to deprive their child of their father for no other reason than the fact that the mother herself doesn't particularly like the father is a feminazi, pure and simple.
What hateful beliefs you hold.
I'm not the one demonizing a man who has moved heaven and earth (pardon the pun) to be with, and support his child. Continuing to insist that moving 3,000 miles to be near your child and paying nearly double your income to support that child is being a bad fatherhood is hateful. Hateful and insane.
What a sorry and bitter life you must lead. I have the utmost of pity for you. What a loss.
Save your pity for Michael Newdow and the thousands, if not millions, of fathers like him who are at the mercy of the wolves in sheeps clothing they foolishly trusted to bear their children.

My thought exactly - this guy is doing more to set back fathers rights issues then 1000 deadbeat fathers can do. Shame considering much of his criticism of the family court system are correct.

Actually, I said you might have succumbed to an anti-fatherhood feminazi agenda. Big difference, but only if you're interested in fairness and accuracy.

You admire the father even though he used his daughter as a pawn and court bait. You don't know the woman or the child. You aren't qualified to offer a character opinion of the mother.

Exact quote from flyboy: ** you have clearly succumbed to an anti-fatherhood feminazi agenda**

No, she herself is not a feminazi. But I suspect that in this instance she has been seduced by their anti-fatherhood agenda. I have no idea why. Maybe she's off her meds, maybe she can't see the forest for the athest. But I do know that no child should lose his or her father simply because the mother isn't particularly fond of him. Anyone who says different has obviously been fooled by the NOW types.

Sheesh! What accusations! You aren't worth the energy to post to. What a swine.

This clown doesn't have just one axe to grind. More like 5 or 6.
(I do support his views on the unfairness of the divorce courts for men. Especially when it comes to custody and support.)

I admire Michael Newdow because he has sacrificed everything, even his own future financial well-being to support his child. More men should be like him.

YUP!-- an intelligent sociopath!
Incurable.
He needs to be "studiously ignored," unless his behavior threatens to harm others!

I think Mr. Newdow has shortened his stay in this world. He has drawn too much negative attention to himself and cannot afford the cadre of body guards that his celebrity demands. The state where he lives is not sympathetic of his need for self protection. We should all pray for him.

Hmmm. Do you also admire how he used his daughter as a pawn and court bait?
