A number of freight train cars way off the bank. Some amazing pictures that were just being shown on MSNBC...more to follow when they get it in.

Just Another Isolated Incident (JAII!)

How many does this make this now? We were warned of terror on the tracks and yet all of the "accidents" have been dismissed. Hmmmmm
To: My Favorite Headache
There is no more a connection to terrorism here than with Hesham Mohamed who killed two Jews at LAX at the El Al ticket counter. We have no idea why he did it. It is a complete mystery.

Where in Milwaukee? I'm TV deprived for at least another hour.

Train Derails In Fiery Crash
Posted: 4:24 p.m. EDT July 15, 2002
Updated: 4:37 p.m. EDT July 15, 2002
Emergency crews are at the scene of a fiery train derailment north of Slinger in Washington County.
Smoke can be seen from about 20 miles away, witnesses said.
The Wisconsin Central Freight train derailed and caught fire off of Highway 41.
It's being reported that no one was hurt in the crash; however, a HazMat team from Milwaukee has been called to the site.
There's no word yet on exactly what the train was carrying.
Fire crews that would normally be called to the scene are still helping battle the fire at the Quad/Graphics printing plant in Lomira.
WISN and The Milwaukee Channel will have more information as it become available.

I guess those America West Pilots finally found new jobs. Well, bully for them!

Slinger isn't Milwaukee, but geez, it's Wisconsin Central. I doubt if I'll see my neighbor for the next week--he works for them.

Yeah I just noticed that, but it was on MSNBC that said it was in Milwaukee. Thanks for clearing it up.

From the news reports last night, the Quad Graphics fire is still burning & the firefighters expect to be there for at least a week. This is going to severely tax those FD's--most of which are volunteer.
This is the link to a map of the Slinger area.

They were probably getting their TV feed from the Milwaukee NBC affiliate. I know I'll see the film on the evening news. People in our area (northeast Wisconsin) haven't forgotten the Weyauwega train derailment & fire. And that was Wisconsin Central as well.

I don't think the Wisconsin Central tracks have a very good of a track record, please excuse the pun.

Yes. Down near the railroad tracks.............Ya don't say. What was a train doing near railroad tracks. That's weird.
To: Catspaw
What's up with the de-railments?
To: My Favorite Headache
20 DE-RAILED...FROM CANADIAN NATIONAL RAIL. Chemicals burning...fire fighters having a hard time getting water to the scene.

Seems to be something leaking.
