DESTREHAN, La. (AP) -- Four Pakistani nationals working aboard a ship docked in Destrehan took off Sunday morning without permission, apparently headed for Texas, authorities said.

The Immigration and Naturalization Service and border control agents are tracking down the four men, who are not United States citizens and were ordered not to leave their ship.

Maybe these 4 in Louisiana were going to visit "uncle" too.Is "uncle" the doctor that was interviewed by the Justice Department? If I remember correctly he had supposedly funneled money to some of the AlQaeda terrorists.

I believe that they have started handing them out around Indian Point in New York.

I grew up in Destrehan area. Most of the oil refineries and chemical plants are located up-river in Norco about 3 miles from Ormond/Destrehan.

The security is a little more tight at the refinery where I'm working today. There has been a parish deputy patrol on duty 24 hrs. a day just partolling the docks from on the Mississippi River levee, and no unauthorized vehicals are allowed on the levee.

The grain elevators located in Destrehan is the only place where I have seen taxis pull up to take the ship crew to town, (or bring women to the docks for the crew).

I think the taxi driver should have dropped them off at the sheriffs office.

Now there you go, being logical... Don't know if that would work but it does seem like a no brainer.

Thanks. I thought I'd read that some were being distributed, that's what I told my sister anyway. Remember that the weather systems/air flow is from west to east, so, if you're trying to evade an 'incident', stay west of it.

Anything in Houston that would be of interest to a terrorist?

Houston has a large Muslim/Pakistani presence and, I hear, the home of the largest Maosue in the US!

It happens with Pakistanis, in fours, jumping ship and heading for Houston. And, yes, they prefer to call for a cab!

"We don't have any information that they are criminals or terrorists or anything of that nature..."

We evidently could have said the same thing about certain Middle Eastern nationals here in the U.S.A. until we woke up on 911!
