AND IT WAS BLUE AND HAD THE CUT-OFF FENDERS. AND I THINK HE HAD AN OLDER PORSCHE CARRERA I THINK IT WAS. AND HE HAD A WINNEBAGO, BIG CAMPER WITH A TRAILER.

I moved away from California in 1979 and I could swear they had made a law against Volkswagens having exposed engines. It was the result of someone being killed when one of the belts came off and hit a pedestrian.
