Talk about wanting to get your arse kicked real bad. Just when I thought we were finally rid of those pesky little Moors.

The invasion force consisted of a dozen poorly armed Moroccan frontier guards, equipped with a radio, two flags and a couple of tents

Kill them anyhow, just for fun.

The king, previously known mainly for his love of jet-skiing, may have been busy with his wedding plans but the decision to invade the Isla de Perejil would not have been made without his consent.

Morocco celebrated King Mohammed's recent wedding with public celebrations July 12, 2002 that broke with tradition and showed a Muslim monarchy keen to modernize. In an unprecedented move, the 38-year-old monarch permitted publication of photographs of his bride, computer engineer Salma Bennani, signalling a new era for women in the male-dominated society. In a secret operation carried out by sea, Moroccan soldiers took the Spanish-owned Isla del Perejil late on Thursday, hoisted their country's red and green flag from its highest point, set up camp and waited for the Spaniards to try to take the land back.

Islam has declared war on the West only the West has not seemed to figure that out yet.

Insane Muslim Named Mohammad Wins Victory Against Nato...

Which proves that he is just as steeped in the backward, fuedalism that infects his culture as Binny or Saddam.

Believe it or not, Mohammad's culture views a few crazies occupying a currently unoccupied rock a rock to be a significant victory against the Great Satan of the West. Stupid, yes. Ridiculous...slightly. Proof of mass emotional stunting, absolutely. AND, believe it or not, Mohammad believes this victory will help strengthen his throne. If ALL of his peasants are as stupid as they sound, it probably will.

Hope Spain doesn't go on an appeasement trip. Emotionally, most of these people are nine-year-olds. Mean nine-year olds, who cut the heads off chickens and pull the wings off flies whenever they don't get their way or get in trouble for stealing from the cookie jar. They should be treated as such. The proverbial "firm hand" is the only way the West will learn 'em to knock that crap off.

"Moroccans seize Parsley Island and leave a bitter taste in Spanish mouths ( Clinton in Morocco )"

Is there a pun in there anywhere?

It will go down in history as the first military invasion of western European soil since the second world war.

The Falklands War was that long ago?

This island "lies 200 metres off the coast of northern Morocco" by the article's own admission. (Not to imply that my Spanish cousins shouldn't kick the Morrocans' butts off of it as it has been Spanish territory for 400 years.)
