That said, I wish FReepers would have the same concern about us California FReepers when there's a report of an earthquake or some such thing on in our state.

Well, what can you say for anyone who chooses
{WWWhhhhheeeewwwww} woh!
to live on an earthquake zone
{CCCeeeerrrrrrrrrwhhheeeewww} [ducking]Yikes! that one was close!
where was I, oh yeh, who lives in an earthquake zone. You'd think they had better sense.
{WWWWWWWHHHHHHHEEEEEEEWWWWWWWWW} [Running for cover, it's the big one] Dang tornadoes! Worse'n mosquitos this time of year.

You're asking for an awful lot of concern.

You two are completely missing my point. It's totally irrelevant that there are lots of small earthquakes in California. There are lots of hurricanes, tornadoes, and floods in other parts of the country. Many of these areas are heavily populated too.

Lots of FReepers delight in the thought of California falling into the ocean as a result of an earthquake. Four and a half million Californians voted for Bush in the last presidential election. That's more people than even live in a lot of states in this wonderful country of ours. What I am saying is, Californians aren't all made from the same mold. There are a lot of good conservative people living here, especially in the Central Valley. Some people want California to disappear, giving no thought to the well being of those millions of us who are good decent people. < /rant>
