I'm not surprised by this. The dad always seemed to squirm when asked about his daughter.

Seems like the injured party is the girl ... but not by the pledge in the least ... by THE FATHER!

He should be sued and the case dropped and set aside forthwith. There NEVER WAS A CASE.

You can bet these Judges knew this too. They are all activists against the principles and foundation this nation was established upon IMHO.

So now the true snake in the woodpile surfaces. It appears to have the look of Newdow's "ME", striped green with greed and a few spots shaped like $....

You bet these two rat judges knew this, well at least the one without senile dementia. The #2 hidden judge's wife is the lead ACLU Rat in California.

The man does not work and was bounced out of Floriduh for trying this bs. He is a pastor at a so called athetist church. Shouldn't that phoney church lose its tax exempt status for his involvement in politics and religion.

How much has the ACLU rats paid this guy to commit this act of child abuse on his daughter?

He is an abuser of his girl and uses her to advance his mentally insane agenda!

He quit working so he could work on bringing this lawsuit.

What a piece of work.

Oh. Either way, the parents should never put the child in the middle.

Newdow is a father who wants to be involved in his daughter's life. Whether the general public thinks he should be or not isn't the point. Newdow's atheism never stopped this mother from accepting child care payments.

Hmmm... Where are the Father's Rights people now? I guess "father's rights" only apply when the father believes in an imaginary omnipotent being, huh?

I think you're mixing apples with oranges. He is involved in his daughter's life but this lawsuit has nothing to do with his daughter. He's using his daughter to further his own agenda. The lawsuit, as stated by Newdow, is just for his own purposes. Fathers should have rights with their children. This case has no bearing on Fathers Rights.

Supporting a lier and someone who would use his daughter to further his personal agenda isn't going to help support fathers' rights one bit no matter what he believes.

Newdow is a father who wants to be involved in his daughter's life.

Is that why he doesn't live with her? Did he tell you this himself or are you simply surmising?

Whether the general public thinks he should be or not isn't the point. Newdow's atheism never stopped this mother from accepting child care payments.

Why should it? Even if she loathes the ground he walks on she has every right to demand he support the child he fathered.

Does Newdow's atheism prevent him from handling the filthy green stuff which proclaims "In God We Trust"? I think not.

Hmmm... Where are the Father's Rights people now?

Right here. I'm in favor of Father's Rights. I'm also in favor of "one nation under God"

I guess "father's rights" only apply when the father believes in an imaginary omnipotent being, huh?

Nobody is saying he didn't have a right to bring the lawsuit. He has a right, nay a duty to act in the child's best interests. It's just that nobody believes that this is his primary motivation.

"Where are the Father's Rights people now?"

The man sired a kid, for sure. As a father, he fails miserably to qualify.

BTW, belief has very little or nothing to do with Newdow's financial responsibility to his daughter.

Newdow wants to raise his daughter with an atheistic viewpoint. He said he doesn't want the gov't taking his tax money then using it to promote a religious view to his child in a "pledge" in public schools.

Whether or not his view or atheism itself appeals to anyone else isn't the point. The point is that Newdow is trying to have some say in his daughter's upbringing.

Here's what I read in an article yesterday that I can't find now:

The mother moved away with the daughter, and Newdow moved, too, so that he could be closer to his child.

In addition to constitutional law, he has also been studying family law which he says is unfair. In seeking custody for his daughter, he has been ordered to pay the mother's legal fees, too.

Though the mother is an "active Christian", that hasn't stopped her from accepting child care payments from atheist Newdow.

Why should it stop her? His money still says "In God We Trust"....
