Which is coming to my state? The abolition of private property, or the author's rampant overuse of annoying and distracting capitals and quotation marks? I fear both.

It is regretable that such a good article's usefullness is totally destroyed by its presentation. It certainly is hard to read this. Make many that would otherwise care about the issue skip it.

Is the office of District Attorney an elected one in New York? Does New York allow for the recall of elected officials? It sounds as if this particular DA needs to find other employment. Since this is (I assume) a rural county, I would hope the electorate has the courage to speed this petty-ante statist packing.

Not here! In South Carolina you have the right to protect your property with force, deadly force if necessary. Our Attorney General Charlie Condon encourages us to do so.
