President Bush pitched his proposed cabinet-level of homeland security today to federal workers gathered at the DAR Constitution Hall in Washington today. Bush took the opportunity to thank federal workers for their hard work, especially after September 11th. Enjoy your daily dose of Dubya!

I wish every day that every American could find their way here to this thread. You're welcome for the Psalm. Really, I am just the "vessel" to get it here before our eyes. But it is God's Spirit that quickens His Word to our spirits bringing the "fruit" from the Holy Spirit that always comes from spending time in His Word. The Holy Spirit testifies to our spirits that His Word is true, that He is the eternal God - the God of hope, of truth, of goodness, of love, of righteousness, of healing, of help, of mercy, of grace, of justice, of today and tomorrow, and even of our yesterdays, of forgiveness, of joy after sorrow and mourning, and of light in the darkness, and finally of life after the death of these mortal bodies.

When we think on these things, we are nourished and our hearts gladdened and our sagging spirits lifted.

Oh - and that's what "the Dose" does for me every day - thanks to Rintense's faithfulness - and thanks to President Bush for restoring honor, dignity, faith, and faithfulness to our Presidency. All the forces of darkness which have been at work for so long to destroy the ideals which made this country great - and our country along with it - are gathered against this President - like they were against David. Our "job" is to pray and to praise and to even give our anger at the enemies to Him. (olliemb even suggested praying for our enemies among the rats and the press). I know that if we do it is like heaping coals of fire on their heads. I could go for that. So, olliemb, I promise to spend some time today praying for these enemies....only by God's grace is that statement even possible! :-)

Great post. the following verses from Matthew 10 comes to mind: "(31) Fear ye not therefore, ye are of more value than many sparrows (32) Whosoever therefore shall confess me before men, him will I confess also before my Father which is in heaven. (32) But whosoever shall deny me before men, him will I also deny before my Father which is in heaven. (KJV)" I think of this often when I hear people criticize our President for his beliefs, and I'm also going to STAND FIRM and not be moved.
