How many working people do you know that can do that in their forties? It was the GIRL SCOUT COOKIE SALES. Something about the ingredient's Brenda baked in.

I think they refinanced first mortgage and then got a home equity line of credit/loan for $50k just before or same time Danielle went missing.. And who do they know that are MORTGAGE BROKERS ??????? Anyone can answer here, no waiting.

Paid defense attorneys are no better, unfortuneately. They have to worry about being "too agressive" in defending their clients, or the judge will just start screwing all of their clients, and their careers will be ruined. I should have made that point as well. You are correct, even privately retained defense attorneys are hesitant to go after the bad rulings or abuses by judges. Two years ago, I was a subject of a criminal referral to the county prosecutor for intimidating a prosecutor and a judge. When I found out about it, it had a little 'conversation' with the deputy prosecutor assigned to the case. I informed him that if he was so foolish as to actually file charges, I would not hire an attorney and would be calling a number of judges, the prosecutor, the sheriff and his deputies, and other public officials as witnesses and assured him that they would all be asserting their 5th amendment rights within about 5 minutes each. Never heard a word from them after that.

I think you are correct...I've been hearing about the over-extended families in California and the related tech Melt-down.
The VD's didn't seem to know much about handling money to begin with...and the fame and fortune coming their way from this terrible crime is unbelieveable...maybe thanks to their good PR firm? Who knows.

What do you think about the recent news that BRenda has just moved into a new $850,000 home ? Just my two cents on the home, 850K for a home in the Carmel Valley is the average. Homes in Cali, if they are in a decent area are at least 500K. These homes generally need a two income family to afford. I thank that was the point.

I was thinking that the L in the last names may just be a designation to keep the identities unknown - maybe L just stands for last(name).

For what it's worth I'd like to express my extreme disappointment with the prosecutor's case-in-chief.
If I were charged with determining whether or not a person is GUILTY BEYOND A REASONABLE DOUBT of kidnapping and murder, by this point in the case I would expect to know:
(1) When and how that person kidnapped the victim.
(2) When and how that person murdered the victim.
(3) When and how that person disposed of the body.
The prosecution has rested and I still don't know the answers to any of the above. In fact, except for the idea that Danielle MAY have been suffocated, I don't even know what the prosecution thinks are the answers to the above.
I do not know if DAW is innocent or not, but I certainly would have a tough time finding him guilty beyond a reasonable doubt.
