It sounds like the INS needs to start checking on these "newcomers".

O.K. - - newcomers should learn to speak English. Any problems with people making the slightest effort to fit in here or are we all supposed to become multi-lingual to accomodate them?

Well DAMN.... I think I'll have to go buy a couple of his CD's.
We do Speak english here - we do fly the AMERICAN flag, and we do mention GOD in our pledge on our money, and in many other 'public' places.
Anyone who is offended by this or thinks it's racist is FREE to get the hell out and go home.
To: Tancredo Fan
I suppose we shouldn't fly the American flag because it might offend.

"The issue goes deeper than Brock, said Jorge Amaya, director of the Northern Colorado Latino Chamber of Commerce. "The problem isn't what Brock said. The problem is that our community leaders didn't step up to condemn it." no, No, NO dumbass
the problem is your sorry ass sitting there bitching about this. If you don't like it, you should feel free to haul your ass back to your country of choice.
anybody have an email for the city so that I can send some support for then NOT condemning this....?

I'm sorry, but if I go to live in a foreign country, I expect to have to learn the language. My wife's relatives didn't expect everyone around them to learn Polish and German. This is not racism, it's common sense.

Sounds like a publicity stunt to me. Maybe his manager thinks it will get him on The O'Reilly Factor, move a few units.

"But Hispanic leaders said they were racist and the failure of Stampede organizers to condemn them shows the refusal to embrace newcomers."
No, the problem more likely is that the newcomers are refusing to embrace American culture, expecting Americans to adapt to and adopt theirs instead.

Tell Mr Brock not to visit New Mexico. Spanish is an official language here. It has been long before his ancestors arrived.

Argh. There is nothing racist about asking people to speak the common language.

Asking immigrants to speak English is now a form of racism? Well, if you don't like it, you don't have to live here.

It sounds like the INS needs to start checking on these "newcomers". Do we have an INS or what? Does this agency serve a purpose, and if so, what is it?
Most of these "newcomers" are probably illegal. I find it hard to believe that so many could come in in such a short period of time legally.

But Hispanic leaders said they were racist and the failure of Stampede organizers to condemn them shows the refusal to embrace newcomers.According to some dirt bags, we are racists if we eat, sleep and breathe. To h*ll with em. Speak English, fly the American flag, and buy his music.

"While many Hispanics in the audience walked out, . . . " OK, 'splain this. If those people weren't English speakers, how'd they know to walk out??
In a speech between sets, Brock said he was tired of having to adapt to the widening influence of the country's newcomers. "You are coming to our country. Wedon't speak Russian. We don't speak Spanish. We speak English here," Brock told an audience of 7,000, according to the Greeley Tribune. While many Hispanicsin the audience walked out, people who attended the event said many non-Hispanics cheered. If they don't like hearing the truth, then they should keep right on going until they pass over the river Rio-Grande into the promised land.
This is the United States. The language is English. The English language has over 25,000 words. The Spanish language has something like 6-7,000. I don't see a reason why we should surrender our heritage in the interest of kissing immigrant ass.
Either adapt to our nation, or go back to the one that most closely resembles the one you wish to live in. Quit trying to make this into your nation, not our nation.
