You (should) know that the officer's role is to apprehend the suspect. Any punishment is to be doled out by the court. In your scenario about a citizen fighting a street thug totally ignores the part about the police with a handcuffed suspect. If the cop can't control his emotions, he shouldn't be carrying a gun and a badge.

  I picked these out of this thread on the same subject, thought maybe you'd like to see what your partners in crime were saying.  You people simply disgust me, not only do you have no problem with a cop whacking a handcuffed SUSPECT, but you actively cheer them on.  As I said on the other thread, I don't give a fat rat's patootie what that kid did prior to that attack, it doesn't matter.  Once he has been detained, (cuffed), you take him to the jail and charge him.  Whether he is guilty or not is decided in a COURT OF LAW.  LEO's DO NOT get to rule on your innocence or guilt.  I know you don't want to hear it, but that was an innocent kid that cop had handcuffed and popped upside the head, and he will remain innocent until he has been tried and convicted.  What part of innocent until proven guilty don't you people understand?

I don't doubt this happened but I do find something that is curious. What was a white tourists, as the videotographer was identified, doing at a hotel in Inglewood. It is not a place a tourist would go and not a place a white tourist would want to spend the night for sure.
