Despite a coordinated Democratic Party-media push to pin blame for the recent wave of corporate scandals on President Bush, a majority of Americans currently blame ex-President Bill Clinton for the business corruption that has sent the stock market reeling and caused a crisis in confidence in corporate America, according to a CNN/USA Today/Gallup poll released Monday.
51 percent of Americans surveyed agreed that President Clinton's "moral failings in office" contributed to the permissive climate that encouraged corporate leaders to behave unethically.
Of that number, more than half, 26 percent "strongly agreed" that Clinton was partially responsible for the business scandals. The rest, 25 percent, "moderately agreed" the ex-president deserved blame.
When asked the same question about President Bush, only 15 percent "strongly agreed" that he set a climate that encouraged corporate corruption. 31 percent "moderately agreed" with the same proposition, for a cumulative total of 46 percent - five percent less than those who blame Clinton.
Another stunning development: President Bush's approval ratings have actually improved in the weeks since the Democrat-media complex began shifting blame to Bush.
The CNN/USA Today/Gallup poll put Bush's overall job approval at 76 percent - up six points since early June.
"This result alone suggests that the president has been untouched by these scandals," Gallup said.
Gallup surveyed 1,019 adults over the age of 18 on June 28-30. The survey has a margin of error of plus or minus 3 percent.

Ha Ha!
Sorry, but given the fact that these very same people elected CLinton twice and came within a gnat's eyelash of electing Algore, this is stunning.
(The God of TRUTH is answering our prayers about his servant, George W. Bush!!)
What should be going up in the minds of all Americans is that - unlike what we were told for those eight long years from hell:
CHARACTER MATTERS!
This poll does not mean the Demonrats will stop trying to paint the Republicans and President Bush and CAPITALISM AND PRIVATE ENTERPRISE as the 'EVIL' - that all leftists believe - or want to convince the masses to believe. They will keep trying.
I hope someone somewhere is amassing all the corporate donations to the Demoncreeps over the years, esp to the Clintons - and who the donors were and how they benefitted during the Clinton years. And the list of multimillionaires in the US Senate - heavily dominated by Demoncrats.
The "MYTH" that the Democrats are for the "poor", the "disenfranchised", and the "outcasts" of society is pure teetotal bunk. They are the party of pure and total greed, corruption, evil, to the point of siding with those in the terrorist world who want us dead!
And every American needs to hear those truths!
I think the reason Al Gore has stirred from academic hibernation is to provide a voice that will be heard by the faithful. The strident Dashole message was loosing the sheeple rather than causing them to follow nose to tail as they did before.
The Rats know they are in trouble. The Clinton connection to business excess is of no consequence when compared to the Clinton failure with Al queda.
The sheeple can recognize that a few bucks of savings gone doesn't compare with the loss of life itsself. Clinton had a gold digging chick in his office more than competant advisors. His "yes" men killed his presidency.
Well, if this poll is as advertised, you will NEVER EVER hear or see it reported by the New York Times, the Washington Post, the Los Angeles Times, CBS, ABC, NBC, CNN, MS-NBC, any paper owned by Gannett Corporation, Newsweek, the Boston Globe, Time, PBS, or NPR.
Never. Not once. As if the poll never existed.
I think it was because people held presidents at a high standard. I think most of them felt it couldn't be true. "An American president would never do all those things! Not to their own country"
When the Dumpocrap and liberal press spin finally slowed down and sanity came back, they began to realize it WAS really true. Clinton was a total failure in all respects. All of a sudden the pieces of Clintons failures started falling into place.
Now only the Clintonian cult remains faithfull to him. The rest have seen the light.
You know it and I know it, but right now it is working to our advantage in the forum of public opinion. We're not giving Daschle, Gephardt, Gore, etc any ammunition to destroy another one of our good packmules (ie; Gingrich).
I get SICK TO DEATH of seeing us fight and the media twist our better efforts into "The Republicans are MEAN SPIRITED" all because we call for fairness on both sides of the ball. They got their Watergate & keep trying to live off it successfully but they deny us of a Whitewater or a Monicagate with every fiber of their being, and when the smoke clears, WE'RE the ones that looked bad BOTH TIMES (go figure that one out).
It may be sucking up to play nice for the time being but it takes away their ability to properly aim their cannons at anything but their own tents!
HA HA HA! Good one!
