Bush ready to trade Maine for Crawford
Media and staff, however, would rather avoid Texas in August

Excerpt:
KENNEBUNKPORT, Maine - Cool sea breezes, coffee on the hotel veranda and long walks on the beach.
Enjoy it while you can, President Bush told his entourage as they enjoyed a holiday weekend on the Maine coast.
Crawford in August is right around the corner.
Mr. Bush himself can't wait to get back to his beloved Texas ranch, which he again plans to use as a western White House in August, despite not-so-subtle suggestions by staff and reporters that he consider another visit to his parents' compound in Kennebunkport.
In wishing the president a happy 56th birthday, one reporter asked Mr. Bush: "Now that you're a little older and wiser, are you rethinking avoiding spending all of August here?"
No, Mr. Bush replied: "I think you'll like Crawford."
Members of the presidential caravan said the people in Crawford and Waco are great, but the area lacks the amenities of the seaside resort. Some suggested a parity plan by which every day in Crawford is matched by a day in Kennebunkport.
Don't count on it, Bush aides said. One joked that that while Mr. Bush likes to go to Crawford to unwind, everyone else seems to go there to whine.
Go! George, GO!
I've missed you too, but I've been so busy. I finally got rid of all my company but now I have to go pick up Ally at the airport here in a bit. It's just go, go, go...pant, pant, pant.
Scully:
I'm so proud to see the scrounging tradition is being carried on and that there are still guys out there who are proud to wear the title "Scrounger".
P.S. In the Military, there's "in trouble" and there's "IN TROUBLE", stay away from the second one and you guy's will be fine.
Steve:
Now us Army guys may not be as smooth talking as you Marines, but thats besides the point. You see if throwing me in the volcano allowed the Ladies to have a good time and enjoy themselves, then that was ok with me. I actually sort of liked being chosen by the Ladies over all the other guys at the Canteen. Gives you that "you're special" feeling. There are times to lead and times to just go with the flow. The Volcano incident was definately a "go with the flow" event.
Hugh, Mike and Tony:
Hey Guys. Give me a break here, I have enough competition already! I'm trying my hardest to make an impression on Victoria and am constantly getting shot down, you guys aren't helping me out any. (Speaking of shot down, I notice a curious lack of Air Force competition for Victoria's attention, you guys dead or what?)
He really is precious as are ALL of our children. You are so right about why freedom must never die. I thought about that a lot this last week while I held this baby and played with my wonderful nieces. They are our future and we must teach them about freedom and about the men and women that have made it possible to be free. God bless our children. God bless America.
oh.......okay........sorry......
Thank you for your generous support each day. I carry it with me when I am not able to visit.
Karyn:
Your letter brought tears to my eyes because what we we try to do at the Canteen you put into words. It may not always seem like it but we're here to "make a bad day good, sadness go away, a loneliness disappear."
You earned our support, you pay for it every day with your service and we thank you for it.
