Man arrested for menacing Muslims in Franklin Square

(Franklin Square, Long Island-AP) -- A man is under arrest for threatening two Muslim men with a rifle and scrawling anti-Muslim epithets on their Franklin Square home.

Nassau County police arrested John Yang yesterday after he allegedly wrote racial slurs on the two men's garage door, fence, a car windshield.

Earlier on June 20th, police say Yang drove up to the same two men in a supermarket parking lot, pointed a rifle at them and yelled anti-Muslim slurs.

Police are charging Yang with criminal mischief, menacing, a criminal possession of a dangerous weapon because of a sawed-off shotgun they found in his home.

This is uncalled for. But, as terror incidents increase in the US (hope they won't)this will be more common.

This is not helpful, however, if we have another major death toll, or God fobid, a nuclear incident, you are going to see innocent Muslims slaughtered in this country by roving gangs of angry Americans. Can that be avoided? Yes. All non-citizens from terrorist nations and those who are sympathetic to terrorism must be removed from this nation now.

You are right. If there are any more attacks on the U.S. I think the people are not going to sit still in this country. There will be alot more of this stuff. What this man did was wrong. These people were innocent and probably hard working decent muslims. Muslims need to get out in force and hit the streets protesting the terrorists. Their keeping silent makes these nuts come out with ideas that all muslims are like that. They need to fight along side us in the war not sit back and think we will do all the work ourselves. Their complacency will only backfire on them because it gives these nutjobs ideas.
