A note to the people who read this thread because they hope and pray that Elizabeth will be returned to her family and who wish to stay up to date with the facts in the case. Please do not let yourself get sucked into a heavy HEATED discussion or argument from someone who wishes to come on this thread and make posts that will disrupt this thread. What I'm trying to say is that 1000 people could have witnessed Ricci's behaviour but without the seat covers or what ever else was in those plastic bags or other forensic evidence then you simply have no case. Of course one of the conspiritors could spill the beans and the case could be solved.

If the Smarts' residence is not a gated area do you know why they say in reference to certain potential suspects they were someone who had access to the area?

Good question. I've not been in the area of the Smart home, but I don't believe it is a gated area. (I'm only 90% sure of this.) Federal Heights is an older neighborhood, and gated communities are a more recent trend.

If I remember correctly during the Ashley Banfield interview with Moul there were serveral other people at the garage that appeared to me to be workers. All of them appeared to be from a foreign country. Perhaps they were unwilling to be interviewed by the press because of their command of the launguage. The police would have brought in a translator to get their statements if needed.

My point is I think someone with money may have been behind the kidnapping. ES was quite a celebrity, she had performed at the Olympics, with the SLC Symphony, and at the head Temple in SLC. A lot of people around SLC had seen her and I think one possibity is someone with money hired these bumpkins to kidnap her. Either that or the kidnapper paid Ricci for the key and his assistance

Perhaps SLCPD should be looking at airport records for the predawn hours; private planes etc. Since this kidnapping seems to be extraordinary. I am beginning to believe it is also far more sinister, in that it would not at all surprise me if all the social exposure ES has received in recent months that an adult of wealth had her kidnapped for his harem; white slave market.

Excellent thinking! However the condition of the Jeep on Jun 8 and the mileage points to a long drive, maybe they had to go to a Plan B for delivery. Who do you think the fellow across the street that gave Ricci a lift home on Jun 8 would have been talking to on his phone call there? Maybe they had put Elizibeth in a cabin somewhere tied up, then called the people when they got back to town as they had been instructed to let them know she was now there for them to pick up and they were back in Salt Lake.

and Yes; I agree with you about the long drive. Last week someone else posted the possibility that RAR, was burying money out of town, in a location in the pines. not a body. That being if the motive for the kidnapping was big money. I am thinking if this was planned and Ricci arranged to kidnap ES, for some old rich goat.

Maybe Ricci first had the money in the Cat hole, then decided to find a place no one would find it, in the pines. (All projecting possible scenario's.)

Ricci's wife, Angela, has backed his alibi, and sources tell ABCNEWS that, despite forensic work, there is no physical evidence connecting Ricci to the abduction

truthfully sherlock, I hadn't given any thought to the driver of get away car. However, I will say that "he knows who he is". The fact that he has not come forward sure makes him look suspicious. If he has nothing to hide, why not come forward.

Please pass the tin-foil hat. I am totally bewildered by several people's attempts to link Moul and Ricci in some absurd plot re: the Jeep.

Everyone seems to miss the point. This wasn't a kidnapping for money. Of all the people living in that house that night, they didn't kidnap the father, the mother, the little sister, or the boys.

They only wanted Elizabeth Smart because she had something that was worth a lot of money to them. Beauty, youth and sexuality. Someone wanted her and was willing to pay for her abduction and delivery.

If anyone can show me phone records indicating a large number of calls between Moul and Ricci, or if anyone can place them together at a bar, restaurant, public place, or can testify as to having seen them together (aside from the repair shop during normal business hours), or can provide records showing they served time together, then let them produce it here.

Does Moul have a rap sheet? Has he been involved with burglary, kidnapping, rape, child pornography before? This is all such incredible nonsense. Stop already!

Haven't been following much, but thanks for the names. I put them into a search engine and found a very good site.

Utah Girl - I really like the format of that site - with the comments and articles - best I've seen of that ilk, though not up to the unique quality of FR. Serves more singular interests well, for sure. [ I don't know the computer programmer lingo to describe it better :( ]
