El Al Pilot Reported Missile Explosion Next to Plane

(IsraelNN.com) An El Al pilot reported what appeared to be a surface-to-air missile exploding next to a flight. The plane was heading from Tel Aviv to Russia. The flight landed without incident in Moscow.

El Al officials reported with certainty the plane was not in military airspace, but in a regular international commercial lane.

Oh my goodness! Are you Russian Jewish? I had a good friend in Texas whose family moved from Russia; they were Russian Jews. We used to walk a lot together and study together as we were both in school. She was a very sweet person and a good friend. She had an abusive husband though, and she ended up moving to CA, and I lost track of her. She was a very beautiful girl too. I was reminded of her when I saw the picture of the Israel girl who was killed by the terrorist at El Al. I still think about her now and then.
