Uhhhhhhhhhhhhhh

I assure you I've NEVER been impregnated by anyone--European or otherwise.

And as a 57 year old male, no bloody fool better ever try it either!

Yep, that was my point. Everybody came from somewhere else.

"The latest Celtic conquest occurred about 700 BC when the sons of Mir (the three brothers) sailed to what is now Ireland and named it Scotia, after their great goddess called Scota."

Do you think the Caananites(sp) were proto-Celtic?

"My Great Grandparents were from Wales."

My ancestors are from England too. Don't know what part though. (We're tall, blue-eyed and blond to brown hair.)

I think the Caananites were Semitic.

Linguists have found that Semitic and Indo-European languages do have a common origin "way back when", but language is not necessarily "blood".

Amazing you guys have rekindled this old thread. Lots of old names in the beginning that we won't be seeing anymore.

The remainder of the article link in your last message no longer works.

Its my understanding the term "dark ages" referred to a period of a few centuries in Europe where civilization "declined" in comparison to Roman glory.

Is the data you provided indicating that this started as the result of climatic changes...impact event?

Interesting article. The information has been out there awhile, but this article describes the situation a bit better.

The "isolated by glaciers" thesis is also applied to the division of Caucasions into three or four major groups, e.g. Caucasions, Sinatics (Chinese and other East Asians), Jomon (Ainu). There's probably enough genetic differences between the Saami and all the others to classify them as yet a 5th major division.

Speaking of some serious differences, did you notice that when that Norwegian rock freighter sank a couple of weeks back virtually all the Philipino crewmen died while the Norwegian, Friesian and German crewmen lived (note, the Norwegian captain seems to have died due to a serious body blow when the bridge area hit the water as the ship capsized). They've studied Korean pearl divers to see if they have inherited physiologic differences, but they don't. Seems to me somebody ought to check out these North Sea/Arctic Ocean types!

Then there's the virtual absence of inherited seafood allergy among the Norwegians in general - otherwise 45%+ of human beings have such an allergy.
